A lovely building!

Knowledgeable docent. Many many paintings on the walls (lost track of all the details). Different rooms have different eras represented. Very crowded with many interesting pieces.

We stopped in a few months ago to check another historic home off of our list. The lady giving the tour was very nice & knowledgeable, and the home itself has such beautiful architecture (molding!) and it's beautifully decorated with period-appropriate decor. There's even a small room on the history of mental health treatment in the U.S. If you're a... More

As history-lovers, we had to check out the Hammond-Harwood House, an easy stroll after our morning at the Naval Academy. the 50-minute guided tours of the gardens and both floors of the home leave on the hour; discounts for seniors, kids, students and auto club. Our guide, Will, was knowledgeable and enthusiastic. Since it was midweek and late in the day,... More

The house has an interesting history and our guide knowledgeable. There is a small gift shop with interesting items. It across the street from another historic house - Chase Lloyd House, and a brief walk from the William Paca House and garden.

I stopped by a Sunday afternoon and had a fantastic tour. The guide was knowledge, friendly, and adjusted his tour to my knowledge level. Even though the tour was supposed to be one hour long we went for an additional 30 minutes discussing the architecture and furniture. I highly recommend!

I recommend this tour for all ages. I've been on many similar tours and this house is one of the few where all of the items and artifacts are original to the home. Our tour guide was friendly and knowledgeable, and she didn't mind answering our many questions. It took about an hour and cost $10.

You've missed something very special in Annapolis if you miss the Hammond House. The woodworking in this house is breathtaking. The art on the walls is gorgeous. The tour guide is excellent. I have done many tours of historic homes and expected the same repeated stories. Not so with this tour. I actually learned quite a bit from this excellent... More

The Hammond House and the Paca House are a few blocks away from each other, making it easy to visit both. While the Hammond House is a touch long in the tooth and needs some repair, it's architectural detail, slew of Peale paintings and collection of furniture make it the standout for art and architecture in Annapolis. If you only... More

The architecture is beautiful and the tour guide was informative and would tailor the tour to our own personal interests. What made you pay admission? You answer truthfully and the guide will make sure the tour fulfills the cost. The architecture is beautiful and the collections, furniture, and other pieces are incredible. You truly feel like you're in a colonial... More

We found this tour to be quite interesting, the tour guide very knowledgeable of the home and facts. The furnishings, though most are not from the original home, are from the era and quite nice.
