So much diversity and so many sites to visit. You really need a car for seeing all the great bit. The Dales are beautiful. Take plenty of water and wear good walking shoes as the tracks vary in their quality. In many parts though the...More

The entrance to the Territory Park is right next to the HQ of the CI National Park. This is the best lookout in the Island. The Panorama view of Flying Fish Cove is so picturesque that no tourists or visitors to the Island should miss!

Explored what we can while the crabs were migrating. Awesome place. Hardly any tourists. Roads rough, and very steep in parts, so be careful, make sure your car is a 4wd, as some cars hired out are not. They will try to tell you they...More

Very beautiful flora, the fierce Indian Ocean that is pounding against the rocks and seen many red crabs. We have been lucky and have seen that the streets are closed off for the migration of the red crabs that walked from the jungle to the...More

Much of Christmas Island is considered the National Park, mainly the whole island except for parts of the east side. There’s a lot to see in the National Park, including beaches, the Dales, the Blowholes, the old railway at South Point and many birds and...More

Crabs are everywhere and will be easy to spot in the park. There are a few wooden boardwalks but some are broken and they do not connect. Also have a few stairs to beach areas and camping facilities. The main attraction are the crabs which...More

Christmas Island and the National Park are awesome for all photographers and tourists who like to get off the beaten track, and don't mind a few (well heaps of...) crabs and birds, oh and lots of mosquitos in the rain forest. Well worth getting into...More

Most of where you walk on this island is in the national park, and in general it is looked after however I see signs of that dropping off with the board walk to Dolly Beach needing repair before someone hurts themselves. Many of the beaches...More

It’s best to hire a 4WD on Christmas Island as some of the tracks are 4WD only e.g. to get to Dolly Beach otherwise you have to walk down the long track. If you’re thinking of taking a 4WD off track, then there’s nowhere to... More
