Most of where you walk on this island is in the national park, and in general it is looked after however I see signs of that dropping off with the board walk to Dolly Beach needing repair before someone hurts themselves. Many of the beaches full of rubbish. I am sure the main job of parks to look after the... More

I was at Christmas Island in July 2016. I enjoyed Margaret Knoll and Territory Day Park the best. The walk to Hugh's Dale Waterfall is interesting - especially if you haven't got a 4WD to get there with. The walk back up the hill fairly takes it out of you

The Christmas Island National Park offers fantastic views and plenty of information about the natural environment. So much wildlife including birds and crabs that are found nowhere else in the world.

Christmas anytime...this is a nice remote location in the pacific ocean. If you have the opportunity to get here. Come from here you can also hitting the nearby islands like Fiji,Tonga many more. Lovely place..one of a kind.

Went for a drive around the island while here on work. Take your time to avoid the crabs on the road. Red and Robber crabs. Head to the Blow holes and South point some old Chinese temples and a view out to sea.

This unique crab-dominated rainforest is really something different and marvellous to visit. Our favourite spots were the Dales where we saw so many different types of crabs that we lost count and the Blowholes which reverberate with thunder as they go off. The national park also includes the island fringing coral reef which my wife whose a coral ecologist says... More

63% of Christmas island is covered as natural park. If you're a nature lover, you will love the forest trail and rocky path drives. Do watch out for our red crabs buddies crossing the road when you're driving.

Absolutely stunning! I loved the five months I spent on Island working for Parks Australia. I would go back in a heart-beat. The National Park and beaches are unlike anywhere else on this planet. The diving and snorkelling is breathtaking. The people are friendly. Food is expensive but you don't need much to get by in such a beautiful natural... More

I keep saying this is the island that time forgot. It's like coming out of history books. We visited just after a cyclone, so some of the areas of the island were off limits. Sadly. The food is delicious and the locals are friendly. Basically, the entire island is the National Park, but the residential areas are just that. You... More

A beautiful chillax island for a short getaway, You can dive, snorkel, trek and bird-watching. Is better to rent a four wheel drive coz the island is not big to explore on your own just take note which road are close and avoid driving over the crabs. You can drive to Lily beach for a swim and picnic. Trek to... More
