The statue shows clearly the Greek Macedonian Alexander the Great, King of ancient Macedonia (part from ancient Greece).

It's a nice place to just walk, snap a few photos, enjoy a coffee or some food at one of the many restaurants. Prices are very decent even in the nice places right in the center and the food is quite good.
