    Many Roman artifacts
This museum has a very fine collection of pottery, jewelry, and sculptures from ancient times. The fee is 200 dinars per person. They are working on english signage, some artifacts have no signs. If you cannot read Cyrillic you may want to skip as you will not get as much out of it as I did.

    Beautiful museum, rude staff
It was a beautiful experience for me (as a Macedonian not living in Skopje) to see such a treasure that had been found in my country. However, I had to rate my experience lower because of the "amazing" hospitality of the staff there. Since we entered the museum, we were welcomed with rudeness and comments about "not reading properly the price of the tickets on the website". Of course, we expected the attitude from the people that live in Skopje (the privileged people of Macedonia), but to experience it to that extent wasn't exactly my plan. We enjoyed the museum, the second floor was closed and it is expected to be open on 15th of November, so we weren't able to see it. I love my country and culture and I recommend the visit to everyone, but be prepared for an outcome like this.

The museum's exterior facade is its only redeeming quality. Despite initially appearing promising, the inside of the museum is greeted by rude staff and confusing ticket pricing. Navigating the museum proved to be confusing and ultimately a waste of time. I advise against visiting, as the experience does not justify the effort.

The exhibits allow one to understand the cultural heritage of modern-day North Macedonia. However, for me, it seemed to lack a broader context, an explanation, or a description. An audio guide would have been beneficial to promote awareness of the importance of the archeological diggings done. If you are interested in archaeology and know more about it, you could like the museum.
Sadly, many exhibits didn't even have titles translated into English...

First, the building is amazing both during the day and night. The tariff is 100 dinara and they do have a gift shop. They have many wonderful exhibits of archaeological relics, coins, jewelry, and statues. I recommend visiting this museum.

Great museum with very interesting exponates. However, the staff was awful. The lady at the counter mentioned how I was dressed accordingly (male), but my girlfriend and friend were dressed for a party. And the fun thing was that my friend was dressed same as me (jeans with a T-shirt). Later when we passed by she loudly said that we will probably go grab a coffee next ( Loudly enough to be certain that we need to hear it). Just very unprofessional and it pretty much ruined an otherwise great experience.

The Archaeological Museum of the Republic of North Macedonia is one of just a huge number of “puzzles” of the urban mega-project “Skopje 2014”, which the local authorities, without hesitation, stirred up in 2010. You won’t believe it, but within the framework of this gigantic project in terms of scope and financing, in record time, it was planned to erect about 20 buildings and structures in the center of Skopje (not counting, of course, the reconstruction of no less), as well as more than 40 various monuments .
And the building of the Archaeological Museum of Macedonia is one of those many. It was built “from scratch,” as they say, on the eastern bank of the Vardar River, just along the axis of the Bridge of Civilizations in Macedonia, opposite the nice building of “Makedonski Telekom HQ” (directorate of Macedonian Telecom).
According to the architectural gurus, the building of the Archaeological Museum is one of the most monumental structures of the Skopje 2014 project, the architecture of which, in general, was focused on the best examples of the Greek Revival. The construction was prompt - having begun in 2009, already in September 2014 the building received a museum collection (about 7,000 archaeological monuments that were found during excavations throughout Macedonia over the past almost 100 years), which began back in 1920 year within the Faculty of Philosophy (now a division of the University of Saints Cyril and Methodius).
During its history, the archaeological collection has “traveled” a lot: the lapidarium historical and archaeological museum in Kuršumli Khan (an Ottoman caravanserai in the Old Town of Skopje), the National Museum of Skopje in the barracks of the Skopje Fortress, the lapidarium in the stables and barracks of the same Kuršumli- khan...
In addition to the archaeological collection, the newly built museum building houses the Constitutional Court and the National Archives of the Republic of Macedonia. The Archaeological Museum in the Republic of Severna Macedonia is a very interesting object in architectural terms, despite its newness. I recommend!!!

The museum was alright considering the price, but the overall experience was bad, due to awful staff. Short story is that you don’t feel welcome there. See Long story below.

The woman in the counter was rude, didn’t want to explain anything, and she would only accept even money. When we entered the gift shop, she didn’t want to sell anything, since she was busy talking to her friends/coworkers. Then she got mad at us because there was a wrong price on the stuff. Couldn’t see how that was our fault. Afterwards she was calling us something in Macedonian we didn’t understand as well.

Maybe if they got some better staff the experience would be better. This is the first time we experience rude people here in Macedonia. What a shame, considering how few tourists they have at the moment.

In a grandiose and massive building, the Archaeological Museum of North Macedonia 🇲🇰 contains on two floors dusty display cases with the remains of ancient eras from the Neolithic to the late Middle Ages. Explanations are rare, sometimes non-existent and very small. The lighting is too bright and often blinding. The explanations are not very clear. It is very unfortunate that many parts of the museum are closed. Furthermore, at reception it would be better to recommend politeness and a smile to the museum employees 😊.

On the opposite bank of the Vardar from Piazza Macedonia and on the side of the Stone Bridge looms the mass of the new Archaeological Museum. It is an imposing neoclassical building with a high Ionic colonnade which fits into the monumental center of the new Skopje. We didn't have time for a visit but the building already deserves attention.

The building is absolutely gorgeous. That said there was not much of anything interesting inside. Staff were not very welcoming and some of the photos and archaeological stuff seems to point to Bulgaria more than Macedonia. I still recommend this to those who are interested in archaeology to visit maybe they will have a different opinion.
