Small ruins but you can't miss it if you go to the Sunday textile market in the street just in front of the ruins. You can't go it, but you can peer through the bars that are used to protect it.

I´m sure it has a story, but to date it appears tours are not available to enter. Its rather small. Its worth a drive by for a photo but not a special triop.

I thought that the architecture on this build was really unique. Although it is a; ruin it still hold the charm of the church when it was active.

The local market right under the Iglesia del Carmen and the architecture itself is the biggest treat. Ruins of iglesia are lovely and with colorful dresses of locals in front of it, it's great for photos.

Yet another beautiful set of ruins, but this time you can’t wander the grounds. You just admire it from the street. Still worth a look though!

One can't go in it any more, but it was one of the 30 or so churches in the Antigua area that were destroyed in the earthquake of 1773. Several were rehabbed, but most were not. This one has a nice souveneir market in front...More

Church El Carmen has impressive façade, its columns have beautiful engravings. You can also visit the Handicraft Market. It is very pleasant to see that there are also indigenous people selling their handicrafts on the old streets built from the fifteenth century onwards. Rather it...More

These Ruins are not huge, but nonetheless they are georgous. Unlike most churches this one has no statues on the exterior, but 24 beautiful columns. I'm surprised the Ruins are in such good shape considering it suffered damages from earthquakes in 1717, 1726 and 1773....More

These ruins are just one (big) room, very small compared to other ruins in Antigua. It's a good place to snap some pictures, but it's not a must see. The entrance is free, but you will have to tip the keeper.
