While here 3 weeks we have been to the park during the week, the weekend and a festival. Always full of people strolling, sitting on benches, and visiting while Mayan women and children sell their wares. A beautiful fountain graces the center with 2 smaller...More

This is rather a disappointment as the town of Antigua is so special with lovely architecture that there is nothing in the main square of note, rather dirty and barren with a few trees, lots of trinket vendors and beggars.

It is a good place to sit and people watch, read a book or simply relax. You do get the occasional person coming up to you to sell things, so it gives me a chance to practice my spanish and learn a bit more about...More

It’s a small park, but nothing short of perfect. Fountains, ice cream vendors, and a perfect spot for people watching. I spent at least an hour per day here just watching the world go by. This is a place where locals and tourists congregate in...More

I love to spend time on this park, looking all around and peaceful to read a book or newspaper. the main fountain is beautiful to enjoy for a picture or listen the noise of the water.

A good spot to spend the afternoon and enjoy a good coffee or good lunch at any of the restaurants surrounding the area. The most relevant museums are around the plaza so you can visit and relax after visiting most of them.

A nice park centrally located in downtown Antigua. I enjoyed sitting on a bench next to the fountain drinking coffee and people watching. Lots of food options next to the park as well as a market for souvenirs too.

You'll find that most places in Central America will take U.S. currency but you will most likely get a better conversion rate if you have the countries local currency ( Guatemala Quetzal)
