Our tour guide could not speak English and we could not speak Spanish but we still had a wonderful time. And thanks to Google translate and the little bit of Spanish we know in a little bit of English they knew it was fine. It was nice because our group was small and other groups were enormous going up. Easy enough walk up to volcano and really cool to roast marshmallows off the cooled lava and see molten lava not too far from you.

We had a guide and on horseback, we rode to the top. It was an amazing experience and we witnessed rocks glowing red rolling down towards us. Exciting and slightly terrifying! (in a fun way)

But, keep going and the sight at the top is so worth it, we saw lava rolling down the volcano. You can come down a longer, but less steep route which is easier on the knees. …
