I stayed here years ago, and came back to visit this month while I was in Antigua. The blending of the old ruins into the hotel makes it the most unique place I've ever stayed. At night the place is lit with thousands of candles...More

We stopped here as part of a tour and it was beautiful. We did not stay in the hotel or try any food, so no comment on those areas. But the architecture and integration of the hotel was beautiful. We went down below to visit...More

5 star hotel with great ruins, church, art gallery, spa and restaurant. You can also take the free shuttle up to the Cerro el Tenedor which has amazing views and more activities such as zip lining and more art galleries.

We spent the six dollars to see the museum and it was well worth the low price. We could've spent a half-day there, but we arrived at 5 and the museum closed at six. We had incredible almond truffles from the gourmet chocolate shop on...More

I went to this beautiful hotel for lunch and enjoyed an exquisite gnocchi with basil and pumpkin puree, then a three berry dessert with chocolate mousse and a decaf coffee which had been hard to get in Central America. This is fine dining at its...More

This place is a Museum, Hotel, Restaurant, archeological site, chocolate shop, candle shop, folkloric shop, spa. All you can think of to please the most demanding person in your group, they will all be satisfied. Beautiful place to spend a couple of hours visiting.

We visited, its great history and the hotel is pretty good but the restaurants and bar scene is quite weak. I wouldn't go back or spend too much time if it's not already on your way.

You do not need air conditioning. It's not that hot in Antigua during the summer. We stayed at Porta Hotel Antigua and just ate at Santo Domingo so I don't know.

Yes. But town is very unagreeable to drive around (narrow streets and difficult to park day time).
