I always buy some locally made article of clothing or jewelry when I travel, seeking out funky, modern things by local designers. This appears to be the only such shop in Antigua and when I went, after its opening hours, it was completely empty.More

Got a pair of their Trenza boots in brown, and I have to say I haven't taken them off in months now. Love them with everything! They are so comfortable, I walk all over town with them and I even ride by bicycle in them....More

Bought a beautiful pair of locally made boots & I loved the Frida Kahlo-esque T. Very helpful in determining size. Price meets quality! Plus there's a bar in back for your husband!

This shop had some of the nicest leather things I've seen in Guatemala, and it's great to know that your money is going into something that has been made with care and consideration.

I had a hard time to find the shop since both my guide and the hotel did not know about it. But after the hotel did some Research, they told me the direction. I was Lucky to come there before they closed (5 p.m.) and...More

This is a little gem of a shop for gifts. Completely different from the norm. The boots by Uxibal are very unique, a lot of the designs incorporate a beautiful typical Guatemalan textile with the top quality leather-work. The store employs a very skilled local...More

Being from Guatemala, I'm used to seeing all the traditional fabrics made by artisans, but combining them with a well-finished leather pair of boots is just amazing, all the designs are original. I can see the brand as an opportunity of exporting a little piece...More
