Fantastic trip sailing the Adriatic islands around HVAR with Skipper Igor & Hostess Petra!
Awesome booking experience with Caroline!
PROS (too many to list)
• Trip originally planned for 2020 but needed to be delayed due to covid, TheYatchBreak rebooked us for 2021 and paid the substantial change fee and quick to answer all questions
• 2019 42' Lagoon Bright Sky 4 bed/4bath, awesome boat with lots of space and water maker
• Igor changed routes and plans to support our what we wanted to do and manage the weather
• Igor stated that our job was to sit back relax and have fun, he would take care of everything;
• Igor always made daily restocking runs for water and beverages as well as found ice every day and was available to drive us in the dingy back to shore (even at midnight)
• Igor arranged the nightly dinners on shore and always walked us to the restaurants
• Petra made awesome food on the boat for breakfast and lunch (much better than her brochure!) and played resident DJ with super fun music
• Traveled to some of the most beautiful bays and swam in crystal clear water (74F water temp)
• Sailed: MILNA BRAC, PAKLINSKI OTOCI, BAY VINOGRADISCE, VIS BAY STONCICA, HVAR BAY PALMIŽANA, JELSA, BOL BRAC, BAY NEDOMISALJ, BAY SVETE FUMIJE
• The Croatian people were friendly, happy to share their beautiful country, spoke great English
• We look forward to returning and sailing again in Croatia! But, Islands of Spain next!
CONS (insignificant for an awesome trip)
• Boarding was at 5pm (forecasted at 2pm)
• No ice maker onboard (boat was supposed to have one)
• Forward bedrooms a little small and not full shower (we'll get the 46' next time)

Thanks for taking time to leave a review, you were wonderful guests! Sorry there was no icemaker on board - I will mention this to the charter company to make sure they provide accurate descriptions.

It’s safe to say my sailing experience with The Yacht Break was a true bucket list one. I will never forget it. Croatia is stunning and the locals were fantastic, but to experience such a beautiful place on a yacht with the most polite, knowledgeable and patient skipper imaginable enhanced the experience way beyond my expectations. Tilen made us feel so comfortable and safe (even through a pocket of extremely stormy weather). He also introduced us to many wonderful restaurants and experiences on the trip which we would never had discovered without him. Like many these days I juggle family life with work constantly and cannot remember a time where my mind felt as clear as it did on the open sea during this holiday. Just can’t wait to take the family next time. Thank you Yacht Break x

Thank you! It's great to know you had such a good time. The kids would absolutely love Croatia. It is a great place for a family sailing holiday. Great food, fresh air and fun filled days 😀⛵🇭🇷. We have recently extended our portfolio of catamarans as well which are perfect for sailing with kids.

Incredible views, delicious restaurants in each « port », a streamlined yet super comfortable and well-appointed yacht... if you’re looking to escape the stress of a busy life, this is the golden ticket! My friends and I had such an amazing time sailing around just a small area of the gorgeous Croatian coastline. And there’s so much more to explore... Thank you Tilen and The Yacht Break team! Croatia - you’ve not seen the last of me yet...

Just returned from an incredible week sailing with The Yacht Break. A really unique trip that I'd recommend to anyone with a taste for adventure.. We spent a blissful week exploring the beautiful islands and coastline of Croatia which you simply would not experience in the same way by staying within the confines of a hotel. Tilen, our skipper was top class and the holiday gave me and my friends a rare opportunity to unwind and relax, knowing we were in good hands with the Yacht Break team. I'll definitely be back!

I simply cannot thank The Yacht Break, and Tilen our skipper enough having just returned from a simply stunning week sailing through the Croatian Islands National Park with friends.
Having only heard very positive reports about Croatia as a destination I was admittedly still sceptical about the practicalities of taking a sailing holiday as someone who usually feels sick on a pedalo!
We were however blessed with the most amazing weather, and mostly calm seas, but our skipper was extremely knowledgeable and experienced seamlessly diverting us around a forecast storm, and into a larger port for the day. Being September we were also free from any crowds making for an even more peaceful adventure.
The boat itself was incredibly well equipped, and beautifully formed even including a motorised dinghy to take to shore as and when required, and a SUP board for bobbing around in the crystal waters. A hot shower could even be taken off the back of the boat!
As a very experienced traveller who has worked in the Travel Industry for 22 years I was still blown away by the beauty of the Islands and never tired of diving in off the back of the boat after waking, exploring the beautiful and barely inhabited islands on foot, and taking in the stunning sunrises and sunsets. The icing on the cake personally being a pod of dolphins swimming wild off the side of the boat. Life doesn’t get much sweeter than that.
Whether an experienced sailor, or total newbie like myself I cannot recommend The Yacht break enough. A truly mind blowing experience I will definitely be repeating. Never in a million years would I have imaging myself to enjoy a sailing trip, I am absolutely converted! Thanks a million guys 👌💯😊❤️

You are very welcome! Thanks for such a glowing review. It is always special to get a pod of dolphins tagging along while we wind through the Kornati islands!
Next time let's see if we can organize a combo trip, sailing and fitness/ well being... see if any of your clients fancy it and we will hatch some plans!

Our first time in Croatia won't be our last thanks to Tilen and The Yacht Break. He arranged a Dufour 350 and a skipper for our week-long charter out of Split. We are sailors and were looking forward to this trip for a while. The Yacht Break took care of everything for us, helping us select the boat, offering an excellent price and answering all our numerous questions amazingly fast. Tilen paid attention every detail and we couldn't be happier. Special thanks to our skipper, Juraj, who became part of the family. His expert seamanship and attention to detail were excellent. We recommend The Yacht Break without hesitation.

We took an amazing sail from Split to Dubrovnik with Tilen at the helm. Our group of 10 had the best trip imaginable. He put together the complete itinerary and took care of all the details. He found the most spectacular places to stop and was always ready to adjust the itinerary as the group needs changed. The places he arranged for dinner were beyond delicious. The views were consistently breathtaking and the food was wonderful. I would recommend getting any meat cooked "under the bell" and chase it with local Rakia (english translation : Rocket Fuel). I can't wait to schedule my next trip with Tilen. He's the best.

We chartered a private yacht for our honeymoon with Tilen as our skipper. Sailing around the Dalmatian islands from Trogir to Hvar, Šćedro and Vis.
Highly recommended. Once in a lifetime experience that we can’t wait to repeat 😆

Hi, I'm sorry you are having a problem with the Credit Card payment.
If your card payment was declined, it is likely to be due to security. Banks take your security very seriously, as right they should. Buying a sailing holiday in Croatia is not an everyday occurrence. This means they may flag up the transaction as potential fraud and put a block on it.
Get in touch with your card issuer
3D Secure is an online payment security technology that aims to reduce online credit card fraud. If your card is not enrolled on the Visa Secure (previously Verified by Visa) payment technology or Mastercard SecureCode, then it may get blocked. When this happens you will need to contact your card issuer and inform them that you are trying to purchase a sailing holiday in Croatia. They will then authorize the transaction so that when you try again the payment should be successful.
Make sure you are 3D Secure!
Check with your card issuer to make sure that your credit card is enrolled with the 3D Secure program. If you are not already enrolled, it is quick and easy to do. The simple identification process will mean that your online purchases will run smoothly in the future.
