We saw this building on 14 Nov. Managed to take a peek inside. Didn't have a chance to watch a performance in this theatre, hope to return one day to watch at least one performance.

We went to see a local cabaree show. Though obviously we did not understand a word it was a great experience. Very vivid and eventful show. We were seated at the back stage and actors were performing on stage and where normally guests are seated. Quite extraordinary view to the beautiful theater :)

Beautiful building and interior, bright yello from the outside, you cannot miss it! Split people love their history and passionate to share it, love this city!

We came across the national theatre in Split and there was a performance of A Street Car Named Desire ballet. Tickets were 30 kuna - just over £3 each. Absolutely stunning performance. So if you go to Split and want a night out with a difference check whats on at the National Theatre.

I did not get to visit inside. There was a play on tonight and it was in Croatian. Would have loved to attend if it was something other than a play.

Scored some tickets to see Ernani, which was OK, but the theatre is beautiful. Small and intimate, but we didn't feel crowded. Good sound, too. Well worth a chance to catch a show in this venerable hall.

We went to a ballet while visiting Split. This was so beautiful! The show was of great quality and the theater is very beautiful and ornate. It's easy to get tickets but you must buy them in person at the theater. The staff most likely won't speak English so try to get someone at your hotel to point out a... More

I missed going inside this lovely theater but I found it was really nice seeing from outside. As there is a large square in front of the building, there is a good viewpoint. It looks that it was recently refreshed with striking pale yellow colors.

Whilst in and around Croatian National Theater, why not to try fantastic venue Sustipan where summer concerts are held. It is open venue on the cliff under pine-trees. When is the summer festival in Split, this relaxed venue will surprise you. You can order non alcoholic and alcoholic drinks there. Exceptional and excellent under stars!
