It took us a day to find the synagogue as it is very simply marked, however, one of the members met us and told us all about its history and community. Very special visit.

It's very well hidden and was free to enter - donations always welcome! The gentleman on duty was happy to answer questions and we were able to roam. No big displays but worth a quick visit. Ring the bell and you'll be admitted

Small synagogue on a 'hidden' place in Split. We visited the synagogue combined with the Jewish heritage tour. Recommended!

As other reviewers have mentioned, the main man here is Albert who is a font of information about the location and the Jewish community. They are funded solely thru donations and have large bills to pay to keep the location open. If you have funding ideas they are always open to suggestions. Well worth the visit. Enjoy!

One of the oldest synagogues in Europe and still functioning. The secretary who let us in spoke to us about the synagogue, the community and all.

A fascinating glimpse into an important part of Jewish heritage in Split. The synagogue is remarkably intact and in very good shape, despite history. Still used, and the center of the small extant jewish community. But the real jewel of this place is Albert, perhaps the patriarch of Split's living Jewish community. Full of knowledge and of history, he can... More

The synagogue is up stares off one of the small street in the old city. There was a member of the community there when I visited and it was great to talk to him and hear the story of the Jewish community and it's past first hand. Short visit but worth it.

Up a stair case to this tiny chapel is a wonderful experience. The docents are very of knowledgable and helpful in explaining the Jewish community in this part of the city.

Small very old synagogue well worth a visit for a touch of history that is still being made. Was great to hear from the gentleman who explained the stories of the temple and congregation which remains.
