Your yacht for the day! 'Nera' is an elegant 42ft sailing yacht based in Split, Croatia, and is availalbe for fully-catered day charters and evening cruises, for six guests maximum. Your Scottish skipper and chef and first mate will sail you to secluded island bays for swimming and relaxing, and will serve you a delicious three-course lunch, all the while looking after your every need. NB: Please book early to avoid disappointment, as we can only take 6 guests maximum.

The perfect day...

My wife and I booked this private, catered sailing experience in Split, Croatia. John and Lynn are the proprietors, captain, crew, and chefs. They are a warm, welcoming Scottish couple. We enjoyed a chef prepared three course meal that was lovely. The seven hour tour took us through the waters around Brac and Hvar islands. We stopped several times to swim in the Adriatic Sea. If you are considering a one-day private sailing experience including local wines and a chef prepared delicious meal, don't look any farther than Sunburst Sailing.

Private and east way to see islands

This was exactly the type of full day trip we were looking for. We wanted to see some of the islands around Split without being surrounded by tourists, both on the boat and in the water. The gracious hosts welcomed us into their floating home and we shared a great day.

Yes there is plenty of wine and the food was all prepared with care and fresh ingredients. We lucked out and got to see a person practicing on a tightrope over a secluded inlet.

Our favorite day in Split, BY FAR!

Boat days are the best days, so book this boat day immediately!!! John and Lyn were the absolute warmest welcoming team to their gorgeous sailboat, and we felt like family as soon as we stepped aboard. We stopped at several gorgeous coves for perfect swimming without the crowds, ate delicious canapés, enjoyed a delicious lunch, and the wine flowed as we sailed the stunning Adriatic. We were seriously sad to say goodbye to this wonderful couple, and if we are ever back in Split, the first thing we are doing is booking another day with them. Go ahead and splurge on this, it’s so worth it.

A Terrific Day Ling Adventure

We had a fantastic full day adventure with John and Lyn. They are the consummate hosts. Their boat is impeccable. They took us to some beautiful island coves where we swam and lounged on some flotation mats they provided. The food and wine they served was delicious. I highly recommend this day long adventure.

Well fed, well loved, and well cared for by Lyn and John!

Myself and my two friends wanted to get away from the crowds in Split and have a day on the water, and we got just what we wanted :-)

John and Lyn were easy to reach and very helpful with booking and wayfinding in advance of our sailing day. We had no shortage of drink (alcohol and non-alcoholic), and the canapes, lunch, and dessert were well-prepared, tasty and filling!

For our trip, we set sail right from the harborfront in Split (not the Riva, but a short walk to the west) straight out to Brac. We explored several of the secluded coves, and had a lovely time swimming in crystal clear Croatian waters (complete with floating cocktails!). The highlight was lunch on the boat, moored in the harbor of Bobovišća na moru. At about 4:30pm we headed back to Split for the hour-long ride on the bow of the ship, enjoying the beautiful vistas of the Dalmatian coastline and the Split skyline.

We chartered a private tour for just the three of us, and while pricier than had we gone with a larger group we felt the price point was well worth it for a warm, welcoming experience. John and Lyn are consummate professionals - think of your beloved aunt and uncle who you always want to become one day, and that's them!

Just amazing

This was our third time onboard Nera, and it was just as amazing as always.
Food is great, drinks never run out, and Lyn and John are the best.
Thank you for hosting us once more, can't wait for our 4th trip

Awesome day on the water on Nera with Lyn and John

What a fantastic days sailing with Lyn and John on the beautiful 42 foot yacht Nera #Sunburstsailing. Perfect hosts, awesome food and drink. And not least amazing coves for swimming in the warm crystal clear Adriatic. We were extremely well looked after during our trip from Bobovisca around the islands, welcomed on board the scrupulously maintained Nera with a glass of refreshing Prosecco followed by a gentle sail to several of the spectacular quiet coves. Tasty Canapés were served then onwards again to the next cove for a swim followed by a lovely salmon risotto main course and a delicious profiterole to finish. A great selection of drinks were available to help us sail along. Lyn and John were attentive throughout and had awesome local knowledge too. I highly recommend you check them out!

A unique sailing experience in Split with Lyn & John on the beautiful Nera Boat

We had an incredible sailing experience with John and Lyn on their stunning boat Nera. Their warm hospitality and attention to detail made the day truly unforgettable. The boat itself was beautiful, well-maintained, and equipped with all the comforts you could ask for.

From the start of our journey, we were treated to a variety of delicious snacks and drinks, including wine, Prosecco, beer, and soft drinks. We stopped at two gorgeous coves for refreshing swims; at the first one, we were served tasteful appetizers, and at the second one, a delicious lunch. John's culinary skills were truly impressive, and their passion for hosting shone through.

Throughout the trip, we enjoyed lovely conversations and great stories from both John and Lyn, who are also incredibly knowledgeable about Croatia and the history behind Split.

If you're looking for a unique sailing adventure in the beautiful sea near Split, we highly recommend joining John and Lyn's tour.

Just remember to book early, as such a select and unique sailing experience is not easy to find anywhere else. Another big plus is that you book directly with them, bypassing intermediaries like Viator or local tour operators, so you can reach out tuo them directly for any questions or if anything arises.

This day spent with them on Nera has undoubtedly become the best memory of our trip to Split. Many thanks to Lyn, John, and Nera for an unforgettable day!

Best sailing day ever !!!

What better way to bookend a holiday in Croatia, than a day sailing with Sunburst Sailing.
It was the most magical day, celebrating our daughters birthday, with warm salty swims, endless glasses of Prosecco and the most amazing 3 course meal, nothing short of Michelin star quality.
A big thank you, to John and Lynn for making our day, one we'll never forget, your kindness and attention to detail was beyond our expectations....we will meet again!
