This museum is interesting but expect huge amounts of reading. It was one of the downsides, there's loads of great history being laid out but no interaction, it's in need of a revamp. One of the highlights was the view from the roof which is...More

Of course any museum of this kind will be slightly biased, but it's not without cause. This has a video newsreel of the shelling of Dubrovnik as well as many relics from the war. Fascinating and a must see, especially since the city is mostly...More

Throughout our visit to Croatia I was fascinated by the history of the recent war and this exhibit gave a great insight into it, although a bit one sided, it provided some great photos and videos to explain the impact in the Dubrovnik region. It...More

This was very well done. You can read as much or little as you want. But great way to fill in the details and struggles Croatia went through. Hardy people!

Moving photograph and video archive, together with war time relics. Located in a Napoleonic fort, where bitter fighting took place. Especially poinannt to see a photo of our hotel in flames from the shelling which destroyed much of the old city.

We bought tickets to the War Museum included in our cable car ticket and we are glad we did. The museum is housed in the old barracks building adjacent to the cable car station at the top of the mountain so it’s very atmospheric, and...More

While in Dubrovnik I took the cable car to the top and walked over to the Museum of the Croatian War. This is a very moving place as you still see the holes from where the building took direct hits from bombs and ammunition. The...More

Unless you have a burning interest in history, like I do, this museum will probably hold no interest for you. If, though, you find yourself wondering exactly what went on during the brutal Croatian/Serbian/Bosnian wars of the 1990s, and how it affected--to the entire world's...More

Hi, We walked to the cable car station from the port - about 15 minutes walk and then caught the cable car up. There were some cars at the top but I didn't see any buses or bus stops.

hi, I appreciate the reviews of this museum. Has anyone also visited the War Photo Limited museum which is listed as the #1 museum on this site? If so, how do they compare? Thank you.

hi, we went to both. In my personal opinion the one at the top of the cable car is a waste of time.
