I don't want to tell you about this gem of a place but I have to. It's beautiful, relaxing, amazing. Come eat Tapas and taste the family wine. We went for the Sime which is a Merlot. It's beautiful and the best glass if wine we have had on the island is Sipan. Do not miss the opportunity to visit this vineyard and meet the family. You shall be made so welcome it shall be difficult to leave or like us we just had to come back. Five stars all the way and many many thanks for your hospitality.

We have fallen in love 4 years ago with Sudurad and Sipan Island when we were on a boat excursion from Dubrovnik. We can't get enough of the quiet fishing village, the rocky beach, the beautiful view from our apartment's balcony. For us this is Garden of Eden

Loved, loved loved this little place & the lovely local people!

A peaceful and quiet fisherman’s village, once the day tripper from Dubrovnik depart, Sudurad is one of two main villages on Šipan Island. Stayed here for 5 nights in a lovely little apartment which had lovely views over the fortress and Adriatic! Ideal location to explore rest of island (bikes can be hired from Port / there is also a bus that goes to other village - Sipanska luka which timetable coincides with ferry) and other Elafiti islands. Number of cafe bars and restaurants ( Of special note - Trisestre Resturant which is a little walk from main port (follow signs to Hotel Bozica) is worth a visit) and a few small shops. If staying self catering it would be worth doing a shop on mainland prior to arrival because only basics available in local shop (although there is a slightly bigger and better stocked shop in Sipanska luka)

One must if you have time is to go up to the view-point at St Nikola Church (about 30 minutes walk away) - you will be rewarded with the most fantastic view over fertile fields growing olives, grapes and figs. Also worth watching the sunset from there! Waters are crystal clear & offer some fantastic swimming and snorkelling - just watch out for the sea urchins!

We went here visiting on a tour, and it was a super cute and nice little fishing village. There are locals selling olive oil all around and small little boats to admire. The best part, just outside the village is the family vineyard, Oil and Wine! They make their own red wine and olive oil. The merlot wine is delicious and the cute granny who welcomed us was so nice! Definitely worth the walk of 700 m from the port. Plot in Puhijera 4 on the map and it will get you there. Enjoy!

Delightful little village, with some lovely buildings and good local walks. Round the harbour there are three bars, all with outdoor space. Before the day trippers arrive from Dubrovnik it is peaceful and quiet, then it changes to a great people watching spot for several hours before normal service resumes. If you are self-catering there is only one shop but it seems to have all the basics in regular supply. We've been back every year for the last five!

Beautiful old fashioned village, fantastic views. People lovely. Good food. It was so tranquil there. Bus service to the other side of the island was absolutely excellent. Ferry was also very good and takes you all the other local islands.

Most of the transfers from the mainland use this little port to access the island. There are a few bars where you can have a drink and watch the fishermen and ferries coming in. A bus crosses the island between Sudurad and Sipanska Luka.

Nice and beautiful place to stop. I wish there were a few more things to do though. Water is perfectly clear and clean! I couldn't speak to all the adventures and things to do on the island though.
