We stayed within the walls of the old town for 4 days- this gave us time to just wander and explore. Around every corner there is something new to marvel at. It is worth doing a walking tour as it gives a good insight into...More

GOT has made this place super busy, but it still has a lot to offer. Beautiful architecture. Great food, if a little pricey. Lots of sights to see (the Walls are a must) great views out over the sea.

Incredible churches, buildings & fountains. Love the look of the main walkway & it's lovely cobblestones. A very busy place due to cruise ship numbers so recommend reservations at restaurants.

Went here late in the afternoon as all the people give as recommendation. It was still busy, but indeed less crowded than I read in some reviews. Another recommendation; go by bus or cab to the old city center. It's very very crowded and parking...More

Wonderful historic city. As someone who likes rural places, I can really commend this city. I loved the fact that it was pedestrian only and had cobbled narrow streets.

We decided to explore the Old Town early in the day to avoid the rush and push of tourist crowds. It paid off. The weather was not too hot and although busy, not excessively so. This is a stunning place. We felt like we had...More

Loved this place! Beautiful, historic and gorgeous views to the sea. Would go again, the old town is lovely to stroll through along the old walls.

There is a cliff side bar with stunning views and an amazing place to see the sun set. It is extremely understated and if you see the sign as per the photograph then you are nearly there! We found it at the top of the...More

We chose to go the old town on a day when there were no cruise ships visiting and it was the right decision. Mid July meant it was extremely hot and you can take shade up one of the many back, side streets whilst wandering...More

Thanks Robert it was absolutely fantastic the tour, made me felt as one of the characters visiting the filming locations. And as an extra, the tour includes tickets to the fortress that also give you discount on the entrances for the city walls. We also...More

Dubrovnik is more expensive than the rest of Croatia. Walk into the back alleys they are not as bad as anything on the water, or the main walkways. There are plenty of pizza and sandwich type stores that you can grab and... More

Walking the wall closes I believe either 7 or 7:30pm as you're essentially walking through people's backyards, so they close earlier as the sun sets. They don't close the city walls of Old Town so you can walk in and out... More

the wall walk is about 1.5 hours but there are at least 4 spots where you can exit the wall and leave. (There are also a number of Red Cross stations for those who need a rest). The sea side of the Old Town is more... More
