Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Based right on the coast with many marinas. Lovely sailing opportunities. Beautiful clear water. We found Zadar friendly and very clean. Very little litter which was nice.
We stayed in Sfinga which was quite run down but pleasant. Lots of old people as it appeared there was an old people’s home locally. It’s just a short walk ( circa a mile) around the coast road to Zadar old city. Don’t try to drive as parking is very difficult and pot luck at the old city.
Ferries depart from 2 places here to the Islands (and another one the far side of Zadar), so if using the ferries, make sure you know which one you are booked on and from where it departs, and when we were there another ferry terminal appeared to be being constructed.
People were lovely and friendly. Most had some English language but appreciated our efforts at Croatian.
Plenty of eating options with restaurants and supermarkets.

Such an interesting location and story behind it, love the off the beaten path POI. It's in a park by a closed down haunted looking house, you wouldn't even notice it unless you went through the gate.

It was a strange experience running into this sphinx, seeming so much out of a place here and in a pretty derelict condition. Like someone forgot it here, waiting to be discovered... I hope they will restore it soon.
