Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This was really an excellent walk along a very well organized path that provides you with very nice views of the channel and its surroundings. Some parts of the walk can be challenging because quite steep. Some interesting sights along the way (abandoned military base, cave church, German WWII tunnel, etc.). And actually a very nice marine life museum.

Cool walk from St. Nicholas fortress through the canal. It has several beaches, playgrounds for kids, excellent viewpoints where you can see Šibenik from different angles. The only thing that is a bit lacking along the path is the shade.

Beautiful promenade. If you are in the Šibenik region, I definitely recommend that you visit it. You can take beautiful photos with a beautiful view.

Great walk highly recommneded. The part close to Sibenik is a bit steep at places. Personally we was happy that we had brought our walking sticks for support. Others may be fine walking without - but for the part up and down the hills you need solid walking shoes (no-flip-flops please - there is a few 20-30 meter drops from the side of the trail if you fall)

Wonderful walk through Mediterranean nature with great view of city of Sibenik and open sea. There is also an area for athletes with exercise devices but definitely take a bottle of water with you. And don't forget to wear sneakers and sportive clothes. It's a dusty road.

This is one of the most beautiful walkways in Dalmatia I have been so far and I would even put it above the one at the island Lokrum at Dubrovnik. This way is 4.4km long and if you are a good walker doable in less than 1.5h. Starting from the old military base as Šibenik-side: It has two viewpoints. First is the highest with binoculars (5kn) and benches to sit and enjoy the view. This is one of the best viewpoints to see Šibenik, the channel and the islands! The other one would be St. Michaels Fortress.
Second viewpoint is a bit lower but you see the whole channel. Walking up and down to these two viewpoints is quite steep and not recommended (almost impossible) for wheelchairs, baby buggy is possible.
For people in wheelchairs I would recommend to start at the opposite side from Zablaće, there are less obstacles and at the beach there is a ramp with handrails for easy access to the water.
If I would have a wish, I would ask to make this way a round so you don't have to walk the same way back. Maybe along the lakes you see from the view points.
There is much to be explored along the way! Check it out!

We had a nice long walk on the pathways leading to the beautiful fortress. The whole place is just nature with places to chill and admire the views. Perfect place to clear your mind

Since Sibenik has actually only one beach (not including Solaris), st. Ante canal is great place to find your own private beach. There are numbers of small beaches. Just make sure you bring enough water and food, since there is no stores around.

A family friendly trail along the canal that leads into Sibenik. Two viewpoints which let you look all over the Sibenik area. There is also a man made “James Bond” cave at the bottom of the rocks and the ruins of a chapel which was carved out of stone. There is also a beautiful (in high season crowded) beach. During the high season you also have the possibility of having a drink at one of the two cafes at the beginning of the trail. The trail starts close to st. Nicolas fortress and leads along the peninsula till the city of Sibenik.
