We visited the Cathedral of St. James in Šibenik at the end of our tour of Krka National Park and Šibenik with Portal Tours. This beautiful cathedral is listed on the UNESCO World Heritage Site list. It's located in the Square of the Croatian Republic, just a block from the waterfront. Construction of the cathedral took more than a century... More

Another Game of Thrones set - the cathedral is small and beautiful, but was going through renovation when i was there. I particularly liked the Baptistry chamber. Entrance fee: 15 kn

Very nice church to visit. Situated on the main square in old town. In the evening nice place to sit and enjoy.

Unlike many other coastal cities in Croatia, Šibernik has no Roman heritage; it was built a thousand years ago by the Croatian kings. Our principal destination was the famous 15th century Cathedral of St. James, situated in Trg Republike Hvratske (Square of the Croatian Republic). Like most of the old Gothic cathedrals, this World Heritage site took a century to... More

If you have occasion for visiting the city of Sibenik in Croatia, you must first visit the Cathedral of St. James, which is located in the center of the old city. This is good that this historical monument is under UNESCO protection

We went to Sibenik to see the Cathedral because it was in game of thrones. we did not go inside. If you are not interested in history, there is nothing special about this Cathedral. The place was not crowded in September.

Beautiful cathedral inside and out. Very intricate designs and lots of history. Love the steps going up to the cathedral which we have too many photos of. When the skies are clear the cathedral looks exactly as this picture shows.

The church is located in old town of Sibenik. We came to visit it in mid september so the place was not so crowded as it is in the summer. So we could take our time to realy explore the fine art inside.

This is an average cathedral although it's listed on UNESCO. It's also under maintenance so not able to take a good photo of it.
