This are is at Svobody Avenue or Liberty Avenue. The statue of Taras Shavchenko and the almost boomerang-shaped monument near him is a giveaway that you are in the right place. It is one of the popular areas in downtown Lviv in a very clean and touristic part of the city.

The monument to famous Ukrainian poet, painter and public figure Taras Shevchenko is located on the main street of Lvov – Svobody Avenue. The height of the figure is 4.45 meters (14' 7"). I'm like who is Taras Shevchenko? An artist, poet and political figure that fought for Ukraine's release from Soviet Union.
On the left of the figure there is a Wave of Renaissance – symbolic Stella with relief figures added in 1995. Very large and I guess the people represent the suffering of the Ukrainian people.

Taras Schevchenko is a famous poet and writer and there are many monuments in homage for this figure not only in Lviv but many cities.
This one is in front National Opera house and near Rynok Square and it´s very interesting due to a miniature at the side.

Striking monument to Taras Shevchenko on a beautiful boulevard in central Kiev. Svobody boulevard is a central boulevard with a park n the middle where people walk, and play chess, and dancers, singers and other artists perform during festivals, holidays and summer months. Kiosks are often setup up inside the park during festivals and holidays like Christmas as well, selling all kinds of items, and food.

An important landmark dedicated to the famous Ukrainian poet and cultural figure Taras Shevchenko, the founder of Ukrainian literature. It is considered not only a representation of the poet himself, but also a symbol of Ukrainian history, language, and desire for independence.
