The Southern entrance to the town, it is often missed by tourists. Approached through a quiet but fascinating section of the town, it opens up to a sort of drawbridge over the Gurdic spring.

Simple beautiful medieval wall that has remained in tact despite thousands of years & multiple empires. you can't help but see and walk the path of this gate if you are visiting old town - this is the quieter end closer to the port but away from the road leading into town. Its quite a lovely backdrop for photos!

Worth a quick stop whilst in the city. These walls and gates offered the city protection in years gone past. Average to good I think.

With the moat in front and the cliffs behind this is the best gate to see in the Kotor City Walls. It is a complex construction and tactual gate is to the side and at the bottom of the cliffs

The Gurdic gate is by far the quietest of the 3 city gates, but it's also the one that gives the best impression of how well protected this little city was. As you cross the drawbridge over the spring, you are instantly transported back in time as the streets cobble over and narrow before you get to the more touristy... More

You'll definitely find a good spot for a photo here, and it's close to the bus stop. Just inside you can climb up for a view over the walls. Worth a look on the way past.

I'm surprised to find this is a "thing to do." It is just an old castle gate you can walk on and around. It's a nice accent on the old city, but not really something to do for more than maybe 5 or 10 minutes.

This is one of several gates into/out of Kotor old town at the south end. It is a little out of the main old town but the approach through the narrow stone alley is worthwhile. The gate itself has a small draw bridge and the old sherical metal weights can be seen. Once outside the gate there a medium sized... More

Saw this as part of a walking tour of the city. Good photo shoots from the location. Only by walking out of these and other gates one can actually appreciate the level of protection the local population needed in those times
