An interesting place where you can learn the history of the winery, taste local wine and buy what you like in the store. Various tasting options for every budget. We took 3 wines plus snacks for 1550 dinars!

Taken here by Serbian friends as they know that I like wine - none of us expected what we found. This winery can best be described as a working museum as they show how wine was made across the ages. The best part is that the winery is now making wine in the same way that the romans did in huge clay amphora. Even better, visitors are able to taste varieties of wine so can detect the differences in taste as a result of the different production methods.

We visited this place with a friend in November, during our 4-day visit of city Niš.
The best way how to get there is to take a bus(Niš-express) from the bus station (Autobuska stanica). Simply ask for a ticket at the window and lady will tell you which platform and what is the destination on the bus (which is also at the ticket). The trip takes around 30 minutes.
Alternatively, call a taxi, the prices are relatively low (around 4-7 euros), but make sure you ask about price before.
During our visit, there was only one other group of people.
The restaurant is built in the decent, slightly luxurious style. The waiters were very friendly and helpful. Even though they speak English, we communicated with them in Slovak - Serbian (what is partially similar and brings a lot of fun to the conversation). For food for the two (2x Čevapi) and a bottle of red wine (their own dry frankovka) we paid around 2500 rsd, what makes around 20€. Make sure you dont have "big eyes", one portion of čevapi is two times bigger than usual food in Slovakia.
The guided tour around winery with the small degustation took around 20-25 minutes. We entered four different style wineries (including modern serbian or classic roman winery). The lady was very nice, spoke english (but again we asked for serbian to keep a bit fun :D ) and was able to answer every question. The whole tour was 400 RSD/person, including degustation. There was also possibility to buy bottled wine from wide selection for friendly prices.
As we are low-cost travellers, later we wanted to take a bus back to Niš, but the staff offered to call a taxi for us, for a friendly price 500 RSD (which was the price we really paid to the taxi driver at the end).

Very interesting place different from the rest seen in the region. Owners very nice and professional staff. Food great with affordable prices. There is garden with tables and next to it big wine yard nice for the walk and photo shooting. There is kid corner thus nice for family visits. The owner made visit tour to their winery, with wine tasting and finger food. They also have wine from amphora. Possible to buy nice food-presents and souvenirs. The restaurant is very big and suitable for celebrations. Will go there again.

I had rakija, sheep and cow cheese mixed with sremuche which is wild garlic. I also had salad (Moravska River), sarnica le vinvore listu which is a leaf from vineyard with soy and rice-delicious, and repovi which is a cow’s tail. This is a tasty. I also got a gift from the restaurant which is a sweet red wine called Wine for Two. The wine tour was pretty nice and it is interesting that the winery continues the storing tradition as the Romans did.

Nice place, really unique, they show you how they prepare their wine in a really special way. They offer good food, not to cheap but worth it, excellent wine to taste, very nice surrounding and dinner room. Must see!

We visited this winery as a group of friends. In general, it's an interesting tour especially to see the historic methods of wine making that were used in that region. The quality of wine, however, wasn't intriguing. Most wines were flat. Also, make sure not to have kids or babies with you if you want to enjoy the full round and walk through the various levels and chambers of the winery. They also have a restaurant which looked nice, but we had other plans. So we didn't have the opportunity to eat there.
