It was an attraction maybe 30-40 years ago but now it's just a place where junkies gather.. Very dirty place full of bottles and broken glass. Beware of the used needles on ground!

We experienced this place as part of i-House Travel's Death of Yugoslavia tour. I didn't know about this place before coming to Mostar and its inclusion was a pleasant surprise. Just to be clear - this is not a maintained cemetery. It fell into disuse...More

This was not interesting because it was beautiful but because it has been desecrated and ruined. The fountains and water features don't work, the gravestones are broken and there is graffiti and weeds. It is intersting because it shows what is happening now in Hercegovina....More

Had to walk around for quite a while to find it, even some locals didn't know where it was. The place looks more like a scrapyard than a monument to fallen soldiers, lots of broken bottles and weeds, old strange looking guys drinking from "paper...More

We had a fascinating and insightful insight into the workings of the former Yugoslavia and what Tito was up to behind closed doors! This isn't a war tour, it's more than that, taking you through the whole concept behind the union, it;s ascent and it's...More

During the WWII Mostar's youth joined to Tito's army of partisans fighting nacist and fascist and gave their life for the freedom of people of Yugoslavia. To salute them people build the cemetery. There are many others monuments in Mostar - see my photos -...More

Partisan Cemetery is located in the surroundings of Mostar, far from the old town in the center of the city. It is a place builded to remember a lot of partisans, which fought against nazis in the 2nd Worls War and some of them are...More
