Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Entitled by the local authorities as the most beautyful street in Sibiu, Cetății Street is a good place to start your visit of the old center, when going up to the main square.

I don't feel like telling you, again about why to visit the Fortress Street but I will mention 2 things - it still considered "The Most Beautiful street of Sibiu" and secondarily Between the Carpenters and the Potters tower a path way is open along the top of the wall and for a small price you can climb in 1 tower follow the pathway and descend in the next tower. So it might be really interesting.
That is recent addition - because 2 years ago during my last visit the fortification was still under refurbishment.
So, to sum it all up ... when you are in Sibiu , take a stroll along Fortress street ... it might worth your time.

As walking in Sibiu and taking a tour of the city one of the cities that you must see is the "Cetatii / Fortress street ". Why? - let me try to answer:
- few years ago it was voted the most beautiful street in Sibiu and to be honest with you it is like that - very beautiful indeed.
- along this street you will find the most of what remained from the cities medieval defenses and those are the guild towers - the Potter's tower, Carpenters tower , the state Filharmonics, etc.
- local bars and cafes make this pittoresque street not only an attraction but a place where you can spend some nice time having a drink or a coffee.
- restaurants also can be found here - so it can be a good place for eating also.
- museum of natural history is located here.
So definitely include it in your tour of Sibiu.
Visiting is free of charge - the towers are not open for visiting. Parking is available in front of the city walls and you can climb the stairs getting on the street near the "Thick Tower" or further down the street at the end of it at the "Gate of Corpses".
You will know it is worth it, to take a walk on the Fortress street - enjoy.
