Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

For an American like me, unaccustomed to really old things, this church is a marvel. I just loved everything about it.
It doesn’t take long if you just want to go in and see the high-points, but a stroll through the cemetery is definitely worth the time.

this church is situated in the Unirii Square in the Schei district of Brasov ; it is a real architectural masterpiece and immediately hits your eye with the main tower and the two smaller towers ; it is like those charming buildings in fairy tales ; in the courtyard of the church there is the tomb of the famous Romania Foreign Minister in the period between the two World Wars,Nicolae Titulescu,whose remains were brought back from France in the 90' ,thus fulfilling his wish to be buried in Brasov although he was born in the city of Craiova ; in the same courtyard there also is the Museum of the First Romanian School ,a very important Museum for the Roamanian nation,in which we find some of the first books written in Romanian,which are of huge value ! Here there also is the biggest collection of paintings of the most important Romanian painter of Brasov of the 20 th century,Stefan Mironescu,who donated an impressive number of his paintings to this school ; unfortunately,these paintings cannot be seen,only temporary exhibitions are organized from time to time ;

This ancient church is worth a visit, but I found the outside better than the inside. We waited while the church was temporarily closed, but then toured. Good icons and frescoes, but not well lit and about half the church was roped off. Too bad. We'd have liked to see the altar and iconostasis up close. But worth a visit.

Romanian Orthodox church with a very strict caretaker - the woman is crazy about NO CAMERAs. Better to keep her calm and just admire the fine details of the frescoes on the walls

A beautiful church in brasov, with a very nice relaxing and peaceful feeling when you go inside the courtyard. A gem of brasov.
