Recently spent a week in Brasov - been many times before but never visited the Citadel before. Bit of a climb, initially via steps (also other routes up) but well worth it - as other reviewers have said.

We found our way up the steep hill - either path or road will take you up here - you cannot go inside but the views are very nice from the top of Brasov a popular place with wedding photographers

I'd give this a higher rating if I could go inside this citadel but, it appeared to be closed. Still, it's worth a walk around the outside as it not only offers view across the old part of the city but also to the north...More

We went up for the view onto the old town, in daytime and in the evening. It's nice indeed. You can walk around the citadel but you cannot visit it because it is closed to the public. That's sad because the place seems promising.

You can get there either by foot or by car. By foot: from Iuliu Maniu Street, you go right across from the City Hall. There is a sign "Cetatuie" which leads to some stairs through the parc up to Mihai Eminescu Street... More
