Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Outside, the building is well renovated and has a pleasant appearance. Inside there are several art exhibitions, some permanent, some only seasonal. The most remarkable memory you can find at this museum is that here is the second collection (in number) of paintings by Nicolae Grigorescu. Interesting and an exhibition of European and Oriental decorative art.

The museum is very small but has a good collection of some 19th Century local artists that transformed Romanian art from naive to modern, by assimilation of modern 19th Century painting methods with the local rural scenery and people.

Next to the Ethnographic Museum. Art Museum has mostly late 19th and 20th century artists. For me, the better exhibits are on the second floor including Grigorescu and Luchian. Virtually no information given, English or Romanian. about the artists but I enjoyed looked at the art nonetheless.

We enjoyed a really interesting morning at this lovely little art gallery for the price of a cup of coffee! It really is a gem and the staff were very knowledgeable and helpful. In fact as we were almost the only visitors we ended up having a personalised guided tour from the friendly English speaking curator. The gallery contains some beautiful paintings spanning several centuries and genre. We loved it!

Only visited here because we had an extra day to spend. It is a nice little art museum. What I particularly remember is some modern paintings from WWII and communist period. I normally don't like modern art but these were very powerful. I haven't seen anything like them before.
