We took a tour with Flandera Tours. This was our first stop after we cleared customs through Ceuta. Our tour guide Abdoul was wonderful as was the other gentlemen Mohammad and Mohammad who made sure we didn't get lost in the Medina. Lunch was a...More

We went on a trip from our cruise ship when it called in Tangier. As this was a world heritage site we expected something special but having visited both Marrakesh and Fez previously we found this a little disappointing. Fez was much more interesting and...More

Morocco has only 9 UNESCO World Heritage Sites listed at this time, but this Medina is one of them. I generally find that UNESCO sites are really worth a look and was not disappointed this time either. What's interesting is that it seems to feature...More

The medina of tetouan is a place to get lost (very easy to get lost there!) and enjoy the vibes and authentic taste of Tetouan. Forget your prejudices, the medina is a safe place, even in the night and if your group is only women....More

A busy working medina with barely another tourist in sight. The many shoppers are locals, so genuine goods are on offer. Easy and interesting to negotiate with each area having a unique attraction. If you should get lost, the four decorative towers at the entrance...More

Read a review somewhere that said the medina is not that great. Its pretty functional around the edges but climb up into the old medina and realise why its a world heritage site. Once you get to the top you hit the muslim cemetery which...More

Some pretty parts but thronged with people including those that insist on being your guides and won't go away even if you ignore them. We were thoroughly hassled in Tetouan - worse than Marrakech where they will go away but Tetouan seems to see fewer...More

After I've visited the medina of Tangier, this allows you to comprehend the difference between a tourist place and one that still is not. This despite Tetuàn is now an Unesco heritage site. Indeed, as many travelers have noted, in the narrow streets of this...More

The Medina of Tetouan is manageable and you won't get totally lost in it. If you love cats, you will love this medina, as there are hundreds of cats of all colors, sizes and ages. The shop owners were not aggressive, which was refreshing.

Tetouan would be an option but I recommend you to take a taxi to safe time. I recommend highly the medina. Just go with the flow, it's a wonderful experience if you're open to the real Moroccan life.
