Certainly worth a visit if you like Roman history as the quality of the collection of mosaics is very good and well displayed. Just check the opening times before you go. As is usual in Tunisia, it lacks any guided tours, informative signage or information but don't let that put you off. It backs onto part of the Sousse Medina... More

This museum houses the majority of Roman ruins found around the Sousse area. It is well worth visiting. It is clean and well-kept.

We were so pleasantly surprised by the Sousse Museum. Fabulous mosaics and a baptismal pool that reminds one of the Christian heritage of the area.

The most important and interesting mosaics were those of Medusa and Poseidon. They are must-sees. The museum is housed in a glass shell - very airy and bright. Nice to spend 1-2 hours in.

A must see if you are in Sousse. Like the Bardo museum in Tunis, this place houses mostly mosaics but the Sousse museum is a more manageable size so it can be done even with small children. Some of the mosaics, such as the large Medusa, are in good condition and look fabulous.

At the top of the Medina in Sousse you will find the Museum. Recently refurbished and very smart and clean. Lovely views of the (Punic) walls too. The exhibits are not large, but entirely stunning. The mosaics are almost worth visiting Tunisia just to see!
