Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This all jade pagoda is also known as Kyauksein Pagoda and Werawsana Jade Pagoda. This is a modern day pagoda, constructed over the 2012 to 2015 period. It was built from over 11,000 tons of stone.

After being at U Bein Bridge all day our taxi driver suggested stopping here in the evening on our way to dinner. It was all lit up and looked incredible. Easily one of the best temples we saw in our time in Mandalay. They also had a little night market set up outside the pagoda which was a little touristy but still fun to explore.

This is a very well maintained and beautiful pagoda. It is quite a way from Mandalay and could be visited on the way to the Mandalay airport.

The pagoda, also known as the Kyauksein Pagoda, is said to have been built using 10 million kg of jade and is reputed to the be the world's first jade pagoda. It is absolutely absorbing to be surrounded by so much jade and numerous Buddhas. At night it is very beautifully lit. I went there close to sunset so the place was really pretty.

My driver bought me here on my way to the airport. It was idea to visit this beautiful pagoda built entirely of Jade. It is a pretty tourist site and very well organized for tour groups. Also, it is a functioning holy place and you need to dress modestly and remove your footwear to visit the pagoda. The pagoda is quite big and it is a long walk from the parking lot, in case you are challenged in any physical way. After a visit to the pagoda, you can shop for trinkets and souvenirs in the vendor market, or simply sip fresh sugarcane juice.

After the Shwenendaw Monastery, this is the second and only other reason to visit Mandalay. The Jade Pagoda is unique and quite beautiful.

So much jade, so much talent. Free! Not much English, no other languages for translation but art does not require this anyway, right? Worth the visit...

The site is quite some distance from Mandalay, although it is worthy of a visit, particularly in the evening when the pagoda appears to be well-lit and one can experience its sheer opulence.

I do recommend visiting this pagoda. The jade statue of the Lord Buddha is breathtaking in its perfection.
