Hazuri Bagah (Garden) was built by Maharajah Ranjit Singh in 1820, and it was used a court by the Maharajah. The location of the garden is between Lahore Fort and Badshahi Mosque. Best to visit in winters with family and friends

Next to the Raushnai gate, between the Lahore Fort and The Badshahi Mosque, you can find the Hazuri Bagh. Maharajah Ranjit Singh built this grand garden in 1813. It was built to celebrate the capture of the famous Koh-i-Noor Diamond. The Maharajah won this prize after defeating Shah Shujah of Afghanistan. A marble structure called the Baradari, or the twelve doored pavilion, stands in the middle of this garden. This is a three tiered structure which was adorned with marble taken iff the Mughal buildings like the mausoleums of Zaib un Nisa and Shah Sharf. The Samadhi of Ranjit Singh is also located in this garden. You can see the mausoleum of the national poet Muhammad Iqbal nearby too.

This place situate between Badshi Mosque and main gate of Lahore Fort.
It is the place where Story Teller sit and tell various stories to audience. Many poets also recite their poetry before audience.
Now a days this place is used by visitors of Badshi Mosque and Lahore Fort for sit in and take rest.
It is built by Sikh ruler of Punjab.

Hazuri Bagh is located between Lahore Fort and the Badshahi Mosque. It was constructed by Ranjit Singh in 1813. When one reads about the history of Hazuri Bagh that how Ranjeet Sing vandalized other tombs and took out the marble from those tombs to construct temples in Amritsar and also, Hazuri Bagh, one is not impressed.
Hazuri Bagh is a simple squarish garden that has a marble baradari in the center. The baradari originally used to be a triple story building but the upper two stories were destroyed during wars and were never reconstructed. There are few old trees in the garden but none of them looks like 200 years. Most trees in the garden are in fact quite new and the only old thing is the baradary in the center of the garden.
Had this garden been located somewhere else, one might give more attention to it but it is completely overwhelmed by iconic structures like Lahore Fort and Badshahi Mosque around it. To be honest, other than the history attached to it, there is hardly anything worth noticing in Hazuri Bagh.

The best place of Fort where one can only lay and spend hours wondering about the life style of great Mughals.... The lights of Roshnai Gate and the view of Badshahi Mosque on one side and Shahi Qila on other... Highly recommended for people interested in History and Mughal Architecture

Hazuri Bagh was planned and laid under orders of Maharajah Ranjit Singh who ruled the Punjab from Lahore for forty years .
Unfortunately with all the Sikhs of the Punjab having been killed or sent away in 1947 the archeology notice boards wrongly mention that marbles from various places were pilfered to make this great three storied baradari .A look after visiting the place ensures that marble used are all of one kind and certainly pilfered marble from various places and used together cannot be of one kind !
Even though there was Diwan-i-Aam in the Lahore fort and the Diwan-i-Khas the Sikh Maharajah never sat on the throne of the Mughals he had audience with visitors here .He also had his living quarters here and would many a time retire here for the night ..When Hazuri Bagh was constructed this area used to be dilapidated with overgrown shrubs and unsafe area .Maharajah constructed this originally in three stories , one fell in late 1930's .
There are also chambers underneath for protection from sun ..the location of the Hazuri Bagh between the main gate of the fort and the pious Badshahi Masjid gives a wonderful sight to behold .
There is a beautiful garden in front well maintained .

Near main entrance of the mosque, if you stand face towards gate, the place is in the ground on your right.
