Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

I've been visiting it since I was a child. Being native to Lahore, I admire how beautiful it looks to be around Menar-e-Pakistan (tower of Pakistan)
The govt has recently done some work on the vicinity and I heard it's gone even better. I gotta pay a visit soon again.

A UNESCO Heritage Site, The fort was constructed in 1566 AD by the Mughal Emperor Akbar, on the ruins of a mud fort which existed as early as 1021 AD. truly a beautiful piece of a glorious past but it was heartbreaking to see that had fallen into ruin and disrepair but coming across work being done by a group of restoration workers was a relief. The Lahore Fort, aloso known locally Shahi Qilla, is situated right across the famous Bardadi at the entrance of Royal Mosque with its grandeur. Eelaborately decorated courtyards and pavilions it has 13 gates in a rectangular Mughal architecture with ample space to allow several elephants carrying members of the royal family to enter at one time. The gardens are in the Mughal style, similar to the Taj Mahal and many other historic sites around Pakistan and northern India. There are a flight of stone steps specially built for ceremonial elephant processions. I loved this fort and the gardens - it was sweltering hot. I was not worried about being in Pakistan on a trip coming with an excellent caring guide. Went with a Local travel agent Vertical Explorers Tours on a trip to Pakistan and well recommended to visit here, worth the hot weather

The Pakistani authorities should be ashamed for letting this fort, much smaller than the Red Fort in Delhi but definitely worth the visit - or would be, if they would only restore and clean it up. The mirror-work in the Shish Mahal is falling away and the grounds are dusty and unkempt, but the little Naulakha pavilion is still a gem.

The Fort of course is a great place always however the citizens of Paksitan make every good experience to a nightmae. We wanted to go on a Saturday however the Chief Minister was distributing some things thus the whole complex of the fort and the mosque was closed to tourists - a big disappointment. These historic places should not be used for political gains. We managed to go on Sunday with our eight foreign friends - it was a beautiful day but filled with uncontrollable crowd - it was overwhelming. The young males continued to harass the females in our group thus making our trip to the fort into a embarrassing one. Lesson learned - never go on a weekend Second people should be fined for writing on walls and maybe the entrance fee for Pakistanis should be increased a bit - Rs. 20 for such a great attraction is a bit too low..
