I've visited this museum on a number of occasions. The layout is nice and the atmosphere is quiet. Many artefacts are displayed from different era's of the subcontinent. My personal favourite is the section which displays items from the British Raj. However, I am slightly disappointed at the size of the museum, Considering the rich history of the subcontinent and... I remember years ago Lahore Museum was worth watching and now during past decade museum turned into worst condition. Some of the galleries are closed for visitors and ordinary items (which has nothing to do with history) have taken place of valuable and ancient things in the Museum. Visitors still may find it a good museum but as I am... More

Well Pakistan is full of historical artifacts, from Indus Valley civilization to Gandhara Art. Sadly the Lahore Museum is mainly exhibits all these artifacts but mostly are replicas. This is the best you can get with the least enthusiasm from the government to preserve the history. Anyways it is a must visit if you are in Lahore.

This museum has a lot to offer if you are interested in Buddhism. Plus there are sections for Ashoka king and Pakistan movement

The building itself is already an attraction. Inside, you wil find one of the largest collections of archaeology, history, arts, fine arts, applied arts, ethnology, and craft objects in Pakistan. Among othe unique collections you have the possibility of visiting the Harara room, with the original seals of the still undeciphered Indus Valley script. Gandara culture is very well represented.... The museaum have great memories as well as artifacts - One must visit the place - however, sometime one feels that it can be managed in better manners - especially no information is available outside or near the site.

Probably One of the worst museums in the world , where one is not sure as to curse the management , the government , the weather or one's luck. Everything seems below par, despite huge gates the entrance is through a small door beside a dust bin, the greens and flower beds are ruined , the inside of building in... More
