The management haven't sense to talk with tourists, even we didn't get a parking place to park our vehicles, the basterd gard at the gate misbehave with us and haven't sense and manners to talk with tourists. A very terrible experience with this place ever i had. He only allow that person who are in Government employees inside the parking. I"m highly disappointed to the management.

Being lived in Lahore it was always my desire to go and visit the place where resolution for our country had been initiated, called Minar-e-Pakistan. I had visited that place, its surrounded by Gardens and flowers and in between is the main Historical Building of Minar-e-Pakistan. Its very very attractive, structured, and designed Monument made at the time of orientation. Good place to visit and spend Time.

An important place in the history of Pakistan i.e, beautifully carved into a tower overlooking two marvelous pieces of the Mughal architecture and one modern bridge with lots of gardens and fairgrounds.

A place that reminds us of our Independence and the scarifies that the people of this country give for Independence. It is surrounded with a beautiful and well maintained park. It is a must place to visit, especially for those visiting Lahore for the first time and do remember to bring your camera for lots of photos.

Having been to this place only for work... there is NO way I'd ever consider EVER returning...
The water is undrinkable to the extent of unhygenic (and that was at reputable hotel!!)
Keep an eye on your wallet, bags, wife. etc etc etc...need I say more?????
Have traveled extensively throughout the World and never experienced such a disappointing place....
Do yourself a favour and try elsewhere.... your tourist dollar is certainly not appreciated here!

One of the most popular tourist attractions in Lahore. This monument is located in a very big park with other tourist attractions, including boats, kids play area, snacks, tour guides, forte, museum.

Coming to Lahore and not going to Minar-e-Pakistan would be a disgrace. We were in Lahore for only one night and I could not miss the opportunity to go visit the Pride of Pakistan. First visit for my son and I was ecstatic to show him the beauty of Minar-e-Pakistan.
There are dancing fountains there, first show around 6:30pm. Small cafe stops. Go cart rentals, buggy rides, play area for kids...full on picnic grounds...
Grounds are very well maintained...due to security reason cannot go inside the Minar. On the grounds there are four pillars one of each belongs to Quaid-I-Azam, Fatima Jinnah, Allan's Iqbal, Sir Syed. Also in park last resting place of Hafeez Jalandhari who wrote Pakistan's anthem.
Nearby Shahi Qila, Gurdawara Dera Sahib, Shahi Mosque, Allama Iqbal's last resting place.
Plenty of parking and security...
Come and enjoy full day

A nice place to visit but the people standing at the top will pressurize you to buy the binoculars that are not in good condition at all. Though it is a historic place and has great memories of 23rd March, 1940.

The Minar-e-Pakistan, in the park on the opposite side of famous Badshahi Mosque, is a modern 'Eiffel Tower' on the spot where on 23 March 1940 the Muslim League Party Of British India passed the resolution for the creation ot the Independent Muslim country of Pakistan. You can climb to the top for an excellent view of the Lahore fort, Badshahi Mosque. the Tomb of Ranjit Singh etc. There is also lake there where the boats are also moored.

This is a tall Monument which reflects a classic blend of Mughal and modern architecture (its appearance resembles a Lotus Blossom) It is located in Iqbal Park which is a busy intersection of Circular Road and Multan Road, thus you will face lot of noises and dust. The main platform of the Monument includes two pools, crescent-shaped, lined with green and red marble. The Monument has a central staircase reaching a whole 162 feet. The top dome of the minaret is made of stainless steel with fine glass pieces. To reach the top, you need to climb hundreds of stairs (you may also use the elevator instead of these stairs). The first terrace of the Monument is 30 meters high whereas the second is 50 meters. In the adjacent park to the main platform, the marble fountains and an artificial lake increase the beauty of this wonderful tower.
Your visit to this place remains incomplete rather irrelevant if you do not look at it in its Historic Perspective. The Minar-e-Pakistan or "Pakistan Day Memorial" has been erected as a monument in commemoration of the Lahore Resolution. This is the site where on 23 March 1940 the Muslims of Subcontinent for the first time formally demanded a separate homeland for themselves. So this place stands as Sign of Struggle which ultimately resulted in creation of Pakistan.
On the monument you can read the admirable inscriptions which are engraved on different levels of Minar-e-Pakistan. These include the text about the history of the Pakistan Resolution and Islamic Calligraphic Art.
The Minar-e-Pakistan or "Pakistan Day Memorial" has been erected as a monument in commemoration of the Lahore Resolution. This is the site where in 1940 the Muslim League held its historic 34th annual session and demanded a separate homeland for Muslims.
