I walked pass this temple and stopped to admire the structure and decoration. Lao people really are talented in making such a beautiful arty temple. This is not as crowded as Wat Xieng Thong, located in a small peaceful road, easy to reach just by...More

Appears to be the main monk living center in town, and a good place to participate in the pre-dawn food offering to the Monks, which you could do on your own, or book through a guide. Certain rules apply, so research carefully if you try...More

This centrally located temple is very well maintained. The 5-headed nagas at the entrance and the beautifully carved doors are the main attractions. There is no entrance fee, but the main temple building itself is normally locked.

We passed by this temple in the late afternoon and it happened to be when the monks were chanting. It sounded very serene and magical. The monks were very friendly. One of them invited these “uninvited visitors” who peeped in, to join them. The architecture...More

This is one of the smaller temples in Luang Prabang but a peaceful place to enter and see unlike the more touristy ones.

Appreciated watching this building and seeing the monks living there. You may wake up early to see the monks getting "offrandes" in the streets around 6 am.
