I visited this museum with a group of work colleagues. It is a truly impressive--even overwhelming--collection of artifacts largely focused on Saudi history/culture and international Islamic art. The building is both historic and well-maintained, beautiful inside and out. I can't recommend it highly enough--an absolutely unique opportunity to learn more about regional culture. (NB: the place is huge, and a... More

An interesting experience, I would call it more of an exhibit than a museum. Privately owned by someone who loved traveling and collecting artifacts and other interesting looking things from around the world. I would definitely recommend a visit to this place once if you're in Jeddah.

If you are looking for a condensed history in air-condition this is the place for you. I would recommend allowing for a lot of time to view this place. I only wish Saudi was using this type of architecture in their present day buildings.

What a wonderful place- my friend and I couldn't get enough - we particularly liked the top floor where the exhibits are made out to resemble homes and shops from the hijazi and bedouin past - a great place - it's best to go in an organised tour though because it's not really open on a daily basis - you...
