Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This place is so very peaceful
A Palace in the middle of a garden
This Palace is unique to me cause when you enter inside
You can see some lovely paintings on the walls and that's why I highly recommend you to visit, however, when you know the meaning of the paintings and the story behind each one of them that's when this palace becomes your favorite.

Very nice place to see. Works of art which telling us about history. Place are really amazing but the most beautiful part are the gardens that surround this part. When we was there everything was a green, roses, different flowers really so beautiful. I definitely recommend it to everyone, the ticket price is 1€.

The Chehel Sotoun Palace was constructed during the reign of Shah Abbas I. Next Shah Abbas II was also responsible for additions to this palace, such as the hall of mirrors, the hall of 18 pillars and two large chambers facing the north and south. Palace has spectacular hall of mirrors with its decorative mirror work, tile work and paintings, along with its majestic porches and pool which faces this hall. I was especially amazed with all those paintings and beautiful garden with pool.

Isfahan has a world reputation for being an artistic and historical city. One of its most visited attractions is Chehel Sotoun Palace. The meaning of its name is a palace with 40 columns. There is a pool, veranda, and several halls. Its magnificent architecture leaves everyone in wonder and appreciation. It is also listed as a site on the UNESCO Cultural Heritage list.

The hall has only twenty columns but they are reflected in the water, so hall of forty columns. The interior has some beautiful Safavid paintings, including one of the Battle of Chaldiran. It is a little away from the main square, but definitely worth visiting in Isfahan.

The 40 columns palace is magnificent. when you enter this palace you will see the building in the middle of a beautiful garden with tall trees. the most famous fact about the palace is the reflection of its columns in the water inside the pool in front of it. when you take steps inside you can see the painting in 2 different styles.

These gardens, and the 40-columned palace, were laid out for the reception of foreign embassies. There are several accounts of raucous carousing in the gardens, especially during the reign of Shah Abbas II. Until the late C20th, the entire facade of the main talar on the east side of the chehel sotoun was covered in mirror tile, but now only the recess retains the mirrors. Within are several large paintings of events in the political history of Persia, and the ceiling is said to be the finest of its type in Iran. The other 3 external sides of the chehel sotoun are decorated in the same subtle oranges and grey of the Ali Qapu talar, and have portraits of Europeans.
