Top ways to experience La Mer
The area
Neighbourhood: Jumeirah
Years ago, before the skyscrapers, before the 12-lane highway, there was only Jumeirah. In fact, when the UAE was formed, its rulers signed the agreement in Union House, at the very start of Jumeirah Beach Road. Often called “The Beverly Hills” of Dubai, a drive down Beach Road reveals one enormous, lavish villa after another. Originally residential-only neighbourhoods, they are now also home to an array of cafes, smart boutiques, and art galleries. Home to one of Dubai’s few public beaches, this recently renovated area includes a new boardwalk, running and walking track, with changing facilities and cafes along the way. Another landmark, Jumeirah Mosque, is the only mosque in Dubai that can be entered by non-Muslims. As part of the Sheikh Mohammed Centre for Cultural Understanding, the mosque hosts regular tours and talks about Islam, as part of an “Open Doors, Open Minds” program. A wonderful way to understand more about the UAE and Islam.

    Best Burgers
SALT has always been my go-to place whenever I am at La Mer. A great place with lovely ambience! The burgers were delicious and they were just the right size. Loved the the truffle burger. It's a perfect place to spend an evening with friends and family.

    Lamer Dubai “5 guys”
This is my favorite place in Dubai. Really Lamer is a place with amazing beach with white sand cafes and fantastic atmosphere. I loved “Five guys” restoraunt. I ordered latte and tuna roll. It was fresh and delicious.

    Amazing place
We really enjoyed our day at La Mer. We stayed from midday to the evening. We also ate there because there’s a lot of restaurants. The beach was very clean and you can see little fish in the clear water. I recommend.

The beach has so much to explore that you will get tired. Recreation for kids, adults, girls and boys with so much games, sight seeing, eateries, fun activities and shows.

I am writing to express my deep dissatisfaction regarding a recent incident involving a security guard at La Mer. During my visit on 14th Jan 2024, I was sitting by the shore enjoying the sunset and he came to my head arrogantly asking me to move back and sit by the tree as if I was committing any crime. Upon asking to him why I should move behind he further misbehaved with me. This behavior not only compromised my sense of safety but also tarnished my overall experience at La Mer. I urge you to investigate this matter promptly and take appropriate action to ensure the security and well-being of visitors.

We went with bus 8 to beach La Mer. When we came there it looks like a ghost town , there was nothing at all, no shops or restaurants, nothing. All was closed and only security was there . The beach was nice but also nothing except a dirty toilet and showen. Very disappointing.

A beach with free access, very beautiful. It is wide, sandy, clean. There are no sunbeds or umbrellas for rent, but there are lifeguards. There are changing rooms and showers. Unfortunately, only one open kiosk, where you can get water, juice or something to eat.

I simply do not understand what happened to this place as it was one of the most beautiful and incredible themed beach sites in Dubai! Beauty and design in every corner and tons of food options.
A pretty solid waterpark and great views. What can go wrong ? I honestly do not know but the already destroyed half of it and what is left seems abandoned. Most restaurants closed or are about to close - as well as the waterpark. Very sad !!

Why you ask ? It could be because of the high parking fees ? Or given the fact that the beach is not one of the most beautiful ones in Dubai (comparable with the branches of the palm) .

Still sad to see as I was a huge fan !
