In the historic district, the Abra Dock in Bur Dubai, is an affordable 10-minute traditonal wooden boat ride -- really a taxi. Take the abra from the Bastakiya side, look around the textile souk and the art galleries, and end in the gold souk. Used by 15-20 million passengers each year, the Abra Dock in Bur Dubai is a memorable cruise in the water.

If you want to know about old Dubai and their lifestyle then it is must visit. Go for Abra ride which is very good. Also markets nearby are very good and reasonably priced.

Go down to the dock, hop on an abra and pay just 1 dirham. Sit down an enjoy the short ride to the other side. It is a very nice thing to do both in the day and at night.

There are lots of things to see in Dubai and the surrounding areas. While the dock area is nice, I regret the time I spent there as there were other things I could have spent the time on.

These Boats call Abra in Dubai. It's available behind Temple area in Bur Dubai or from Deira ( Another side of Bur Dubai) but not compatible for Wheel Chair. No problem for infant or toddlers.
