Take the Dubai RTA water ferries to get a beautiful view of downtown Dubai and old Dubai simultaneously. The ferries are airconditioned and safe and ply continuosly back and forth across the Dubai Creek.

We had booked a tour with yellow boat.. bt unfortunately, yellow boat tour cancelled it coz of unfavourable weather conditions forecasted bt the weather dept. Hence we took this risk of going for the visit with another tour operator. And it actually was a risk. I believe the sea isnt rough most of the times ,bt when we went the... More

We took our journey from Al Ghubaiba water taxi station and alight at Marina. Journey by ferry was just thunderous & eventful. we were allowed to come out and hang around in the open space of ferry. It cruises so well and leaves behind crystal clear water. The route provides a close view of all the tallest tourist attractions. Unforgettable... More

We were taken across to the gold quarter by our nephew who was living and working in Dubai so it was normal for him but amazing for us . It's like a different world -so quick and efficient , a refreshing cool break from trudging the streets ,well worth a trip even though its so quick

we took the ferry from Al Ghubaiba to the Marina, it was a 90 minute journey and a good way to see a different view of the city. I thought we may have sailed a little closer to the coast and had hoped to go around the outside of the Atlantis but at £10 a ticket then you cant complain.... More

We did th 6pm ferry from the marina back to the Bur Dubai creek on our last night in Dubai. Perdect way to end a lovely trip. It was lovely to see Dubai's skyline all lit up and night, and tit completely changed my view of the city. We bought the silver package, which was well worth the money as... More

I had read lots of reviews about the ferry trip so we decided to try it out. It was a long walk from the Marina Bay metro stop but we eventually found the ticket office. It cost 50 aed per person which was reasonably priced for a 1 hour boat trip. It was nice to see the buildings from a... More

We were unsure whether to do this or one of the dinner cruises. As our kids are fussy about their food, we thought we'd play safe and just do the cruise. We timed it to coincide with the sunset and left around 5pm. We got to see spectacular views of Dubai up to the palms and also the sun disappearing.... More

We took the ferry run by RTA from Al Gubaiba water transport station to Dubai Marina station at 11 am, as we were staying in Bur Dubai. I was searching for the easiest way to view Burj Al Arab, and came upon this route. A one way 90 minute journey costed me 50 AED, which is very economical compared to... More

Staying in The Marina

Neighbourhood Profile
The Marina
It’s hard to believe that only a decade ago there was no marina. Opened in 2003, the man-made marina runs along a 3km stretch of shoreline. A heady mix of luxurious hotels, apartment buildings, and cafes, the marina hosts regular community events and markets, and is a wonderful place to while away an afternoon or evening. Spectacular at night when the skyscrapers glisten, here you can enjoy dinner on the beach next to the sea, or visit a high-rise bar in a hotel for a magnificent view across the Gulf and the man-made Palm Island, with the world-famous Atlantis Hotel at its end. The Walk at Jumeirah beach Residences is a pedestrianized stretch leading to a new development: The Beach. It’s one of the few places where Gulf nationals mix with tourists and Western ex-pats. It’s a popular place to show off your supercar for an evening, so watch out for Lamborghinis, Maseratis, and Ferraris in abundance.
