This zoo is worst zoo I've ever been and I have been in many! Animals are in tiny little cages and the place is so dirty. Lions are trying to get out or just walk by the fence desparately. Don't go to this zoo! If everything else is taken good care in Dubai, these animals are not.

This is a place that they do noit advertise as much as the under water zoo. We went and took our friends children with us and whatever animal you would like to visit is there. Fantastic Tigers and Lions. The Monkeys as usual make sure they are the star of the day. For the four of us to go iot... More

Dubai zoo is perhaps the worst zoo I have ever been to around the world. It is small, with cramped steely spaces and limited animals who seem depressed.

Loved the site of difrnt animals and birds. Also comfortable place for children and adults. They have washrooms and also small snack corner to have snacks. Lovely place and amazing animals and birds also snakes..

As part of a private trip we went to Dubai Zoo. It was small but it was the best zoo we.d ever been to . It was compact and perhaps old fashioned compared to our zoos but it was relaxing and different. All of us - ages 21- 70 loved our visit there.

Bearing in mind the image of Dubai as a futuristic modern go ahead emirate the zoo is a severe let down Concrete cages with no atmosphere, beautiful animals kept in poor conditions. It's a shame really and we wish the rulers of Dubai could do something about please. Fred an Dawn from Liverpool.

I'm actually surprised to see such bad reviews about Dubai Zoo. I agree that Dubai Zoo is not even comparable to Singapore or London Zoos but still it offers amazing bang for the buck at the price. Entry fee is ridiculous 2 AED per person. It's surprising that people are willing to pay 100+ AED for mediocre underwater aquarium at... More

Unless you've never seen zoo animals up close & personal, save the visit for something else. It's small & cramped & not much to see. Wait for the new zoo opening in a few months .

During our visit to Dubai we had an opportunity to visit the zoo. We went round the zoo in a toy train. The zoo is very clean and we all enjoyed the trip very much.

The zoo is well out of date. The animals didn't have any fresh water. You can see the sadness in all he animals eyes. Thank heavens the animals are being relocated to the new facility in December. The bear broke my heart.

Staying in Jumeirah

Neighbourhood Profile
Years ago, before the skyscrapers, before the 12-lane highway, there was only Jumeirah. In fact, when the UAE was formed, its rulers signed the agreement in Union House, at the very start of Jumeirah Beach Road. Often called “The Beverly Hills” of Dubai, a drive down Beach Road reveals one enormous, lavish villa after another. Originally residential-only neighbourhoods, they are now also home to an array of cafes, smart boutiques, and art galleries. Home to one of Dubai’s few public beaches, this recently renovated area includes a new boardwalk, running and walking track, with changing facilities and cafes along the way. Another landmark, Jumeirah Mosque, is the only mosque in Dubai that can be entered by non-Muslims. As part of the Sheikh Mohammed Centre for Cultural Understanding, the mosque hosts regular tours and talks about Islam, as part of an “Open Doors, Open Minds” program. A wonderful way to understand more about the UAE and Islam.
