Top ways to experience Alserkal Avenue and nearby attractions
The area
Address
Neighbourhood: Al Quoz
Al Quoz sits literally at the halfway point between old and new Dubai. At first sight it has little to recommend it: warehouses and factories dominate the area, with some residential areas on the outskirts. Heavy goods vehicles roar up and down the roads and laborers stop at small hole-in-the-wall cafes for a cheap lunch. But it is fast becoming a magnet for art lovers: Alserkal Avenue is a significant contemporary art hub, home to 25 galleries and arts spaces, with ambitious expansion plans. The galleries host exhibitions, talks, panel discussions, auctions, and community events. If you love art, pass by to visit the galleries, it’s a great opportunity to get a sense of art and community in the region and to sit alongside key influencers and artists as they go about their day.

Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Hurry yup! Alserkal Art Week has already begun! and you will have time till 20th November! If you haven’t been here, walk around for one weekend. Alserkal is a cultural district close to the Noor Bank metro station which is now called al Safa metro station. This place is more of a walk and stroll around. So park your cars outside and explore!
After reading the feedback online, I wouldn't recommend you to try for a parking spot inside. Most are reserved. I would recommend this place for art lovers only. They have a lot for one to experience and for free for the most part. so, if you are around Al quoz you can stop by for an hour.
Art lovers, please know that this place is filled with cute cafés and art galleries! With all the external lights on, it looks really lovely at night! And instead of all the exotic automobiles on the streets, you have a ton of old vintage cars that you can photograph. Unfortunately, it wasn't open while we were there.
Art galleries like the one of ElSeed, a cinema theatre vibe at Akil, a trendy hair salon named Chalk), home furniture from the 60s with modern design and at the main entrance, there is a classic car showroom called Nostalgia are the ones I could recall. Of course there is more to that! You can visit any day apart from Friday.
Do not miss visiting the classic cars showroom called Nostalgia, I loved their collection and displays. For music lovers, enquire about the live music events they host from time to time. There are live shows going on almost every evening where you can meet with the artist. I didn't come across any during my visit. but you may find one! from watching other videos, I found that there is always something interesting going on here. I just happened to be here on a wrong day wrong time!
So here are a few things to note. no outside food is allowed, you should at least buy a coffee to get some seating space. Only paid parking is available right outside the alserkal avenue. I suggest you visit here in the evening during winter. I wouldn't recommend walking around in the summer. One drawback is that you must enter each warehouse to know what they sell and what they display. There is no information on land indicating what is inside.
Feel free to check out our playlists on youtube for tourist and weekend destinations in the UAE. If you are new here, I post videos every Friday.

Alserkal Avenue is a hip enclosed area in Al Quoz. There are a lot of great independent businesses, including fitness centres, food and beverage outlets, cinemas, galleries and more.
There is very limited traffic and lovely open areas to sit and take the world in. Plenty of parking is available outside the perimeter.
There are also regular pop up events and a recurring farmer’s market on Sundays.

This is a great little creative hub within the seemingly uninteresting warehouse district of Al Quoz. Getting there can be a bit tricky via the metro (esp. walking in the heat), so I'd recommend catching a cab. The gallery spaces are well worth a couple of hours and there are nice cafes to chill out in between - or work at if you're a digital nomad :)

A complex, an organization which is engaged with the arts locally, regionally and internationally. A number of galleries, outlets and restaurants, a library and cinema offer a unique experience to visitors with a keen interest in arts, architecture and indoors adventures.

During the Dubai Art Week 2019 (March) the Alserkal Avenue has a lot of activities and exhibitions. It is worth to visit. Just always get informed if you are in a gallery or art institutions or artist space, as their is a different approach. You can see group shows and solo shows and there is an information desk with maps and calendar of the events. Every gallery has a welcoming text or if you are lucky the staff can give you an introduction!
