Expensive, but worthwhile! Great views. Amazing pictures. Just try it, and see the world. Great coffee afterwards.

This architectural wonder dominates not only the Dubai skyline but also the psyche of every single tourist. The elevator ride up to the 124th Floor is the fastest in the world and you will be in awe when you step out into the viewing deck.

We opted to do the 'at the top' visit to the Burj Khalifa in late November at 3:00pm. The at the top ticket is effectively a queue jumping ticket with access to level 148 of the tower. The Good: Fantastic view from level 148. You get to queue jump the security and elevator lines. You get to go 23 levels... More

This is amazing mix of greatness, human work, planning, excellence, vision, determination, cutting edge technologies... 828m high, built in 6 years, speed of elevators are 10m/second. A MUST when visiting Dubai. Photos are from 2 observatories (125th and 148th floor). ENJOY being on the highest building of the world!

It's not just about being tallest building in the world. Ofcourse it is. But what is interesting about it is how it is been made to be one. One should really admire how beautifully it is constructed. The lighting effect of the building was rather surprising and definitely astonishing. And from the top one of the best city views you... More

The best time to visit the observation deck at Burj Khalifa is right before sunset as the view from the 125th floor is just breathtaking!

Staying in Downtown Dubai

Neighbourhood Profile
Downtown Dubai
You can’t fail to miss Dubai’s iconic Burj Khalifa, the world’s tallest building. It towers over the city and resides in the prestigious Downtown development. Once an old army base, Downtown is now the jewel in Dubai’s crown, a beautiful residential and leisure area housing not only the world’s tallest building, but the world’s largest fountains and mall. Wide marble sidewalks are perfect for strolling, with restaurants, art galleries and children’s play areas. Specially commissioned sculptures line the roads and Downtown is often used as a canvas for modern art displays and community events such as Classic Car Shows and National Day parades. In the cooler months, cross one of the many bridges to the Burj Khalifa park and enjoy a picnic alongside residents and visitors, or enjoy a lunch or dinner watch the dancing fountains. Because of its mixed use, Downtown is a fantastic place to mix with Dubai residents and locals and watch real life unfold in a cosmopolitan environment.
