The park is within easy walking distance from the main plaza in Vina del Mar. The main feature in the park is the art museum which is open with a limited number of people allowed inside.
The park is not well maintained with dirt walking paths. I found the Chilean Palm trees to be interesting. Very little to see in the park if you aren't lucky enough to enter the museum.

I went there just for the name.. Wasn't a big deal. I guess it's better if there's like a concert or event.. I'd like to go again to the "Festival de Viña del Mar"

I was expecting something impressive but it's just an amphitheater and a park that have nothing special. Even if you go to a concert, there are more interesting places to visit in the region. So if it's not in your way, don't take the trouble to go there.

We were brought here on our day trip tour bus from Santiago. We walked through wrought iron gates and were then told that the house was under renovation so we could not view it. The trees in the grounds are now quite old and need a lot of work to ensure their longevity as they were a bit overgrown. The auditorium was large but I was completely underwhelmed by it. Where were the photographs of previous acts ? What a waste of a stop.

You can walk in the shadow of many treas and you can by a coffee and a sandwich. If you are in Viña del Mar in January you must try the beautiful concerts - and they are free. You get the tickets at the Municipality de Viña at Arlegui close to the bridge. Monday from 10 - 14. It is on the second floor.

We stayed at La Blanca boutique hotel. While we checking in, the host told us we were staying in what used to be one of the queens guest houses. So of course I wanted to see the palace! We went to the park, which is huge and beautiful. The palace sadly was behind plywood and fences. It's in the process of being restored. We ended up on a walking tour that finished there. Wow! We learned a whole lot more about the park and the huge amphitheater that is on the property.

This park is full of a great variety of plants and trees. It is very well maintained and free to enter. There is a lot of room to feel like you are truly away from the city crowd. There were toys for the kids to play on.
