The first thing that caught your attention is the crane. It’s humongous and you wonder what is it purpose. It seems that nowadays it’s not used anymore, but it’s cool to think on the history of that thing. The attraction itself is a pier. You can go fishing, take a walk or just watch the sea, looking on how the waves hit the crane base. From there you can have a panoramic view of Valparaíso bay, one side is Concón and Reñaca and in the other Valparaíso and it’s port. I went in a foggy day. But anyway it’s a good place to visit…

This pier has an iconic reputation. A history of destruction and construction. It's definitely worth the visit and nice views of the playa from here.

Did a sketch of the crane poem to follow. It appears that dreamers and lovers visit the crane. This was a cold winters day in Valparaiso

This historic ocean pier was reopened in 2016. An unusual feature of this pier is a restored crane on the side. It appears to be in working condition, but this area is no longer commercial - just a great place to walk with your family or just sit and take-in the view.
