For 1 mil peso, you can rent a board for an hour. They'll give you some wax to make the board slippery after each time you attempt to make it down the hills. It is kinda cold in November, but the sunset views are gorgeous. You get a view of the bay from the top. Highly recommend for anyone wanting... More

From Valparaiso Errazuriz street, orange/white buses 601,602,605 run to Concon via Vina del Mar ( libertad ) to the dunes & on to Concon town & beach. (1 usd) . The Dunes are between the coast road & a higher inland road & the buses use the 2 routes, (601 coast road) . The dunes are nicest on the coast... More

2 grownups and 2 children enjoyed it thoroughly. Instead of 1 hr rental, they accepted to give us 2 boards for 1/2 hr. It was enough time; climbing the sand tires you off! It seems they are at the base of the dunes (opposite side of sea) during the afternoons. The shop is just the tailgate of an SUV.

We were staying in Santiago and wanted to see the Dunes but did not want to rent a car. We heard about Chile Walks (Southern Nature) on TripAdvisor and contacted Lynn there who arranged the most wonderful tour for us. She recommended we take the bus from Santiago to Vina Del Mar where she had a guide and driver pick... More

These expansive sand dunes in the middle of Concon are not to be missed. The climb is exhilerating and the view amazing. The sand can be very hot so ensure you have good shoes or sandals. We brought plastic bags so we could sit on top of a dune and not get covered with sand. Please, please do not leave... More

I haven't heard anything about this place until I take a boat tour in Valparaiso and they mentioned it, so I decided to take a taxi to there and it was surprisingly good experience. It's about 15 minutes from Viña del Mar and you can go up the dunes, walk, relax, watch the sunset and practice some sandboarding. People in... More

Go in the evening around sunset if you just want a short hike with a magnificent view. If you want to go sand boarding it costs 1000 pesos for a hour. I did it and sled with the board and it was great!! Super fun! My husband and teen both used the boards with foot straps and boarded down. You... More

it was amazing. Rent a sand board for a few bucks and ride. We were dirty at the end. Make sure you wax the board.

Beautiful sunset view. Watch the sun disappear over the Pacific. Went with some infants and friends and was really nice. If you're wearing shoes they'll get filled with sand - so what though! The view of Val Paraiso is blacked by some buildings but I imagine it would be a great spot to watch the new year fireworks from. The... More

As our friends said it was supercool and exciting. They recommended to take the plain board not the "surf" type. The climb was worth it. I didn't see any of it because i arrived with flip flops and nearly had my feet burned by the superhot sand. :) so I turned around halfway and went to the Lider to get... More
