Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

A top class day for all the family. Provided said family likes dinosaurs and or geology, because without one of those two there isn't much going for it and I can't promise a top class day for anyone. Tbh I'm still skeptical over the charging of extra mullah to take pictures of what is essentially a concrete wall though at the end of the day one thing made it all alright; Jose.
Our guide, the aforementioned Jose, knew the place like the back of his hands; and that's damn well. I'm no expert, but I've seen the original Jurrasic Park trilogy in their entirety (bar Jurrasic World as there wasn't a convienient viewing at the local cinema) so I know a thing or 2 about the old scaly lizards, but Jose really trumped that. We were getting all sorts of fact nuggets; from dinosaur speed to average size and all things in between. The man knew the difference between his dolomite and his limestone. I'm also confident he'd read a book on convection currents in the earths mantle, either that or a fine job of rehashing Wikipedia into actual knowledge rather than the pretentious speel found often on the sciency pages of said website. One lady on our tour unleashed a relentless fusilade of pure geology based questions upon poor Jose to which he answered perfectly to my mind (and in year thirteen I once took a (compulsary) rocks and minerals class involving the taste and texture of said materials). The lady who unleashed the Jeremy Paxman-esque tectonic plate grilling claimed she wasn't a geology/geography teacher but I knew she was, I could see it in her eyes.
With the tour being provided in both English and Spanish we were fed upon raw information. Honestly the only way I could have been more impressed with our guide was if he unzipped his head and Chris Pratt walked out chuckling to himself.
It's not merely for youngsters either, I dream of one day owning an apartment that smells of rich mahogany therefore distinguishing myself as a man and I had a brilliant time. I do enjoy dinosaurs however and may have attempted a selfie with some of the replicas.
Go for midday to make the tours and take the bus, it's something stupid like
1 and a half Bolivianos, which in the Queen's currency is 15 pence. Take the bus, taxis are a bit steep, although techincally so is the bus as the road is uphill. It's next to a concrete factory so don't be alarmed when you pull up there, I know my Spanish is weak but I didn't think I could get 'parque creatico' confused with 'factory de concrete'.
Finally on an important dinosaur related note all dinosaurs prints are from the Cretaceous period, so don't expect any thing else all ye dinosaur snobs. And you can't get any of the wall, learned that the hard way.
P.S dinosaur outside is not real (similarily learnt the hard way after some screaming).

Got our tickets for the 11am dino bus (£5 each way bus including tour) from a coffee shop just off the square, but you can buy tickets aboard. Open top bus from the square took about 25 minutes.
They explained (in English) how fossil footprints are formed, then walked us through6 lots of life-size dinosaur models, and gave good explanations of the various species. We then walked down to tge quarry, where you could see the actual prints. Very impressive. Coffee shop, restaurant and toilets on site.

Interesting place to visit. No wheelchair facility if you wanna see the footprints closer. But it’s an attraction for all ages and very interesting. Info are available in English and Spanish. The guide is good and provide good knowledge in English and Spanish. Worth visiting if you have time in Sucre. Easy to reach! Just 6 km from downtown. Entrance is 30 bls for foreigners and 10 bls for locals.

Although the footprints can already be seen from above it is a good idea to go down and see them from closer. A must do for dino fans. The original sized models of dinosaurs are nice and the museum and the exibits are o.k but not thrilling.

We surprised ourselves with how much enjoyment we got from the park. Initially it was raining but the skies cleared up revealing some beautiful views of the city as well as the incredible footprints. Our day was made by Juan Carlos our enthusiastic guide who talked us through the different dinosaur models on display and the origin of the footprints with his bag of plastic dinosaur models!
I would definitely recommend this for dinosaur fans but also as a lovely opportunity to see Sucre's skyline and get some photos with life-size dinosaur models.

It's a small park but you will have an overview about evolution of dinosaurs. However, the park open quite late from 10.00am so you should spend half day for this site. We didnot notice the opening time is at 10.00 and waited outside the park for quite a long time.
The guide in the park (guide's cost included in the ticket) gave us many interesting information about dinosaurs.
We went in group of friends so took a taxi and asked the driver to wait for a return to Sucre still cheap. Return charge is only 40Bolivianos for 5pax. We did not have much time for this park so cannot use public transportation to go there.

The track are visible from outside the park if you have binoculars or a camera with a decent zoom, so there is no need to actually pay the fee to go in. At any rate, you can only get close to the tracks if you go on one of the tours around lunch time, i.e. when the cement factory workers are on their lunch break and it is safe to wonder around without getting crushed by earth-moving machines or huge trucks carrying rocks.
If you don't take the tour, it's pretty much an expensive tourist trap without much added value, unless you're with kids who like to dino replicas.
Warning: additional fee applies if you want to take pictures inside the park (but nobody really seems to check it during the guided tours)

Interesting morning activity to see some dino tracks that probably won't be around for much longer.
On a Saturday there were tours at 12pm & 1pm that last an hour. The guide speaks English & Spanish. Great info and you can get up close.
Entry for foreigners is 30 bs each.
Tips:
- wear enclosed shoes (they won't let you on the tour/close to the prints otherwise
- take a hat, sunnies, sunscreen and water
- the No. 4 micro coming down Junin Calle will get you there for 1.5 bs. Last stop - walk up the hill to your left and you'll see the sign. Very frequent.

A must see for any traveler passing through Sucre or even Bolivia. 68 million year old dinosaur footprints cast in a mountain and almost perfectly preserved, unreal!!

The park was kind of cool, they have done a really good job at making the replicas of the dinosaurs. We were able to get a tour in English, which was really cool. But the main reason we went was to see the 1km long limestone strip of dinosaur footprints. They are not amazing in sight (from so far away), but just in theory, to be in the presence of the largest collection of dinosaur footprints in the world is a pretty cool thing. I enjoyed it. If you are in Sucre for more than a couple days, I would recommend checking it out.
