Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This beautiful church offers beautiful interiors and exteriors plus as a bonus the second best view in town, the first one is from the building in front of it (S. Felipe Neri)

To visit and climb the tower should you have the opportunity to find it open for a few bolivianos which will help to maintain the church.

For only 10 bolivianos you get a great view of the city. Definitely worth a visit when you are near. Don't go out of way to see it though :)

I'm not a Catholic but I went in to visit the church on the advice of our local guide. Worth the cost, 15 bol if I remember right. The climb to the rooftop gives an view over the city. The interior is nice and peaceful.

This really run down, shabby church is a must see in Sucre. For only BS10 it is well worth it. The main and side altars are really spectacular, intricately carved and decorated in gold. You can ascend the bell tower onto the roof, where there are great city views, even though the experience is a bit hairy. They've clearly never heard of health & safety in Sucre. Not sure about opening times, as it seems to be closed in the morning and open in the afternoons.

In all of Sucre, this was the nicest church we visited. It is a Jesuit one as far as I recall and even though it does not look that ornate on the outside, it is has a stunning interior, full of iconography, statues and religious art. On our visit the whole place was decked out in flowers, perhaps there was a wedding or perhaps and imminent religious festival? Anyway, the church was so serene and quiet, elegant too like most of central Sucre.

The church itself really needs a makeover, hence the fee of 10 Bol. to get in. However, when you take the staircase to the second floor, to the organ loft, the view of the church is much nicer.

Wait, you are not done yet. There is a spiral, claustrophobic staircase to take you to the bell tower. I am petrified of heights and am also claustrophobic, but i made it. The journey was worth it. The view is great.

Admission of 10bs is worth is: the view from the rooftop is very nice. The inside of the church is not much special, I have to say. But they are restoring it with the money from the admissions. So you can help out by visiting!

I don't usually go to church anymore but I found myself coming here a few times to clear my head during traveling. It's a beautiful place and it's calming to be in there. For some reason it's just this church. I haven't attended any other masses in Sucre.

Absolutely beautiful interior with superb massive altar decorations and gorgeous wall reliefs. The climb to the roof is worth it for the stunning views of the city & mountains. Not for anyone with vertigo and no safety rails but who cares?! Simply amazing.
