Nickels Arcade is an enclosed passageway then ruins from Maynard to State Street. It has many quaint little shops. Right on the University of Michigan Campus. Campus favorite and it has been there forever.

We explored several different stores including an antique store and an arts store (Caravan Shop) that had some of the finest hand work I've seen. A nice place to wander if you're out exploring the area.

I never get tired of strolling though Nickels Arcade. In the winter it is a place to window shop while getting out of the cold in summer a bit of a reprise from the hustle and bustle on the sidewal, Shops are always well displayed...More

I have only ever seen traditional 'arcades' in Europe so this was a fun surprise in little Ann Arbor. There are some unique shops in the arcade- including a combo tobacconist and barber, old clothing store that's been around for a while, floral shop, antique...More

This skylight-covered mini-mall is a fixture of State Street where it runs by the University of Michigan campus. Home of a number of specialty shops (including a place that fixed what we thought was a hopelessly damaged piece of art) and a superb coffee shop...More

When Main street is almost totally filled with restaurants, you can still experience a mix of locally owned stores - clothing, shoes, antiques, framing, computer repair, etc. in the arcade. Worth a look.

I accidentally came across it when I visited Ann Arbor with a friend. Its a cute little arcade with some of the shops as old as 100 years. Its quite interesting and has specialty shops which sell antiques, coffee shops, etc.

This enclosed retail corridor is totally unexpected. Never imagined that someone would have thought to have this feature in a small place like Ann Arbor. Some interesting shops and located on the edge of the university campus.

If it is very large, I would not try it. I do park there semi-regularly, and the turns are tight in places.
