My husband, I and our three boys ages six and under all enjoyed the museum. I was surprised that there was no charge for admission. They have separated areas that tell the story of each country's spam history. They also have a great place for kids to play and parents to take a rest. Cute gift shop too with everything... More

Actually it was just my husband and myself, but we saw lots of kids and kid activities. For adults, the history of Spam and the Hormel family was very interesting - they fed many soldiers during WWII, and continue to provide food for current service personnel. The family is very civic minded.

Are you traveling I-90? Or I-35 ? Get off the road now to see the history of SPAM and HORMEL FOODS! It's free and kitschy FUN! Tendermaid for lunch before or after for classic loose meat beef burgers and shakes.

I had time to kill before the Austin Bruins game and what to do as make a visit to the Spam Museum. So glad I did and was a very laid out museum and most interesting. And the staff were so friendly and helpful, it made the visit all the more exciting. Great store and got a bunch of items... More

Well I don't believe you can come to Austin and not see the spam museum. I wasn't sure what to think but it was pretty cool. Lots of history in this town with Hormel and a lot of spam out there in the world. The tour doesn't take long just depends on how long it takes you to read everything... More

I grew up in Austin so I might be a little biased. Having a SPAM T-shirt is just a perfect thing to have. The place does a nice job as well showing the history of the Hormel company. I would definitely say it is worth the stop to visit.

Loved every minute of our visit to the NEW SPAM MUSEUM, from the moment we walked through the door and met Nancy and John, our guides. They took pictures of our group for us, and told us special facts we didn't know about the International aspects of SPAM. Nancy even followed us outside to get a photo in front of... More

Having been to the previous incarnation of the Spam Museum, this was our first visit to the new one. Much brighter and more interactive. The one thing that was missing was some kind of "trail" to lead you through the museum. We wandered around and saw pretty much everything. The staff was very friendly. While investigating the kids play area... More
